Thiamine, Niacin, Vit. B1, B3,
B6, Potassium, Magnesium,
Iron and many essential
nutrients

cholesterol level and help
in heart diseases, Type-II
Diabetes, High BP,
Indigestion. Protects from
Breast cancer & Colon
cancer as research
proved at CDRI, PUSA Ins,

When you remove the
outer covering of Vari
is called Dampudu
Biyyam. To make
them look more white
polish is given in rice
mills are called
polished rice. When
the are polished 67%
B3, 80% B1, 90% B6 is
lost.
Due to polish 50%
magnesium, 60%
essential fatty acids, 70%
of fibre materials are lost.
We tend to eat more
polished rice and feel
hungry 3-4 hrs adding
more calories. Where as
non polished rice fill the
stomach quickly with
190 Gms non polished
rice has 84 mg
magnesium. Polished
rice has only 19 mg
magnesium. For better
nervous coordination
and proper production
of sex hormones one
needs 80-100 mg
magnesium.
While polishing the
bran will be separated
which contains
essential fatty acids
that controls body
cholesterol level. This
leads to IHD, High BP,
Diabetes and other
metabolic disorders.
Non polished rice is
very beneficial for
women from menarche
to menopause helping
in hormonal secretions
as per the body need.
Especially they help in
menopause and reduce
breast cancer chances
by 52% as per study.
To control over weight
non polished rice play

reduce the craving for

rice, gruel, noodles,
pongal, upma, idly,

also prepare at home foods like

Tomato Rice

Palak Rice
Carrot Rice etc.
You can try
combination with Ragi,
wheat, jawar as roti,
upma, dosa and gruel in
summer cool with
butter milk and in
winter with hot milk.
Non polished rice and
boiled veg are good for
over weight people and
in High BP, Diabetes
