• Mrs. Kneisley ran a Word of the Day contest. If students used the word of the
day correctly in a sentence, their name was entered in a drawing for a prize at
the end of the week.
• New laptop cart and computers arrived at the middle school during Parent/
Teacher Conferences. The new laptops were available for checkout the last
week of October.
• Sixteen new titles were added to the library collection during the month.
• Ms. Lehman attended the Kansas Association of School Librarians Conference
in Junction City and come back with new ideas to promote books and
incorporate more technology with the students of LMS.
WAW continued...
the Emporia State University Memorial Union. Our students
were among the first 10 to get their books signed by both
authors. Following the book signing, the students participated
in various activities at the student union. The morning
concluded with the actual award ceremony where the authors
were presented the WAW Award for their books.
