Working Time Directive and Working Time Regulations 1998 gives you
a minimum right to:
Work no more than 48 hour per week
Minimum daily rest periods (11 hours in every 24hours)
Weekly rest periods (24 hours every 7 days)
Rest breaks at work (20 minutes if you work more than 6 hours)
Paid annual leave (4 weeks per year after 13 weeks of employment)
16 – 18 year olds are entitled to longer rest periods
