At MWC 2012 held at Barcelona, Nokia announced several new devices and apps for Windows Phone users.

• At MWC 2012 held at Barcelona, Nokia
announced several new devices and apps
for Windows Phone users.
• None of the OEMs, accept Nokia, has
announced their future plans with
Windows Phone, which made it difficult for
the other users.

3. HTC Windows Phone
• HTC has made it clear that they will only
unveil new Windows Phone when
Microsoft releases Apollo OS.
• It indirectly confirms that HTC Windows
Phones are already under construction
• Microsoft is likely to announce Apollo in
Q4 of 2012

4. Nokia 610
• Nokia announce Lumia 610 at mobile
world congress 2012 press event. This is a
low-end device which is build for users
who can not afford high-end device.
• With this low-end device Nokia will be
taking on Android king Samsung. It will
directly face the fight from low-cost
Android handsets

• Apart from that Nokia has also announced
Lumia 900’s international availability.
• Lumia 900 will be released in Canada in
April.

6. • Nokia Lumia 610 will be running on low-
end 256 RAM and it will be powered by
Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS.
• There is no news on Windows Phone
Tango so far. We expect that Microsoft will
unveil Tango and Apollo in a separate
event that will be held sometimes in next
two months

7. • Nokia has also announced Skype for
Windows Phone application to make audio
and video calling.
• After the acquisition from Microsoft, a
dedicated app for windows phone has
finally been released.
• Users of WP community feels that
Microsoft took too long to release Skype
for Windows Phone

8. • Skype is currently in beta mode. There are
chances that you may encounter some
bugs. All the bugs will be rinsed out in
consequent iteration.
• The price of Lumia 610 is around 189 Euro
and it will be available in Q2 of 2012. Even
Lumia 900 will be available in 2012 in
many other countries
