Speaker Biographies

Craig Agranoff

Craig Agranoff is a CBS News Television Tech Correspondent. He is also the Tech Correspondent on 103.1 The Buzz Morning
show. He is an entrepreneur, and national Social Engagement consultant as well as a noted specialist in online reputation
management and monitoring. He is the co-founder of Gripd.com. He is affiliated with the University of Miami as a Venture
Coach within The Launch Pad program. He has worked with many Internet startups and founded the tech blog
sCommerce.com and Rev2.org.

He was also a Tech/Social Media Correspondent in the New Times, InternetEvolution.com, VentureBeat.com and The Palm
Beach Post. Currently he is a columnist for Miami Living Magazine. Agranoff has been featured in the Miami Herald, New
Times, The Palm Beach Post, AOL Digital Cities, Slice, CenterNetworks, Thrillist, Daily Telegraph, and The Sun-Sentinel. Also
has appeared on Gary Vaynerchuck’s Wine Library TV, Fox News, NBC News, Weekend Sunrise, and CBS News. His first
book Do It Yourself Online Reputation Management was recently published and is available on Amazon. His second
book Checked-In: How To Use Gowalla, Foursquare and Other Geo-Location Applications For Fun and Profit was just
released as well and is available for purchase on Amazon. Agranoff is currently working on his third book entitled “Unreal
Potential” which discusses how to use augmented reality apps for business. It should be published later this year.

Holly A. Barrett

Holly serves as director of Public Relations and Social Marketing for Brand |Cool Marketing, working with clients such the
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to build new communities of practice within clean technology,
residential construction, and consumer markets. During her 20+ years in communications, Holly has managed integrated
marketing programs for a variety of Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies, including Motorola, Xerox, Eastman
Kodak, Harris RF, Mobil Chemical, Nextel, ViewSonic, IXOS Software, and Welch Allyn. Along the way she has worked for
big-brand agencies like Text 100 and Young & Rubicam—driving both U.S. and international programs for a wide range of
technology products and services—and has owned her own marketing business. One of Holly’s career highlights was
helping Mobil Chemical work with government agencies and lobbyists in Washington, D.C. to establish the Council for Solid
Waste Management. Started in response to McDonald’s concerns of using foam containers for food packaging, these
efforts resulted in the long-term development of nationwide plastics recycling centers, along with community relations
programs to promote participation at the municipal and K-12 levels. In her spare time, Holly provides communications
consultancy as a member of the Board of Directors of Volunteers of America of Western New York, is a Cub Scout leader,
and a member of PRSA. She resides in Fairport with her husband and three sons. She has a bachelor’s degree audio
engineering from Michigan State University.

Melissa Dobson

Melissa is a solopreneur based in the Finger Lakes region of New York, specializing in community management for small
businesses in the wine industry. She began her business without knowing a single person in the wine business but
immersed herself in reading about the industry and its influencers. Formerly a self-proclaimed technophobe, Melissa dove
into testing out new media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and blogs. She found that these tools helped her to
engage and build relationships with the dynamic personalities within the wine industry community. In 2009, Melissa started
at the ground level with a newcomer to the wine ecommerce space, Vin65. Together, Melissa and Vin65 developed an
active online community and elevated Vin65 and its president, Andrew Kamphuis, to among the most recognized thought
leaders in the wine technology sector.

Prior to founding her own business, Melissa worked at Deutsch, Inc. in Manhattan on the PR team whose clients included
Samuel Adams Beer, 7UP PLUS and Snapple. While in New York City, she discovered her love of following trends and
personalities in the wine and culinary industries. Melissa is active in the new media community and founded the Finger
Lakes chapter of the Academy of Wine Communications. She has conducted interactive workshops to help small business
owners understand and engage their customer communities via social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, tumblr,
YouTube, Flickr and other developing social technologies. She lives in Finger Lakes wine country with her husband, their
Tibetan Spaniel and a recently rescued geriatric cat.
Glen D. Gilmore

Glen D. Gilmore is the principal of Gilmore Business Network, a social media consulting firm. An attorney by profession, he
is also the senior social media advisor to Memphis-based Howell Marketing and to Harrisburg-based Deeter Gallaher Group,
public relations and marketing firms with clients ranging from Fortune 500 to small businesses and non-profits. The
Memphis Daily News has written that “Gilmore is well-versed in all things Web-related.” Gilmore has spoken on a broad
range of social media topics, from the use of geo-location for marketing to the implications of augmented reality. He serves
as a social media consultant to the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

Danny Hanssel

Danny Hanssel has spent his marketing career in the IT, telecom and media industries producing strong financial results
through marketing strategy and social media. Danny has worked as a senior level strategic planning expert at Fortune 500,
startups and small-midsize businesses. He recently launched DanHanssel.com, a social media/marketing strategy agency.

At Verizon Airfone, Dan’s marketing team grew sales from $37 Million to $226 Million in under 5 years. Recently, as
Marketing Director at Time Warner Cable, he led the $370 Million Buffalo Division to become the company’s most
successful operation in 2009; receiving five international Mark Awards for Marketing Excellence and ROI, including three
awards for Best B2B Campaigns. He was lead presenter on a startup team that raised a $100 Million VC investment from
Blackstone. Danny is a LinkedIn master trainer that has presented over 100 LinkedIn seminars since 2004.

Christina “CK” Kerley

Carl Langsenkamp

Carl Langsenkamp is the vice president of Global Public Relations for Xerox Corporation. He was named to the position in
2008. Langsenkamp is responsible for the company’s global public relations strategy and initiatives including corporate,
financial, diversity, sustainability, and product promotion, as well as crisis communications, executive communications and
analyst relations. Prior to this role, Langsenkamp served in various product and operating company PR roles within Xerox.
Activities covered included building programs to support multiple regional locations throughout North America and media
management of the company’s worldwide sponsorship for the Olympic Games. He joined Xerox in 1995 as public relations
manager for the company’s sales and service organizations.

Prior to joining Xerox, Langsenkamp worked in radio and television news as both a reporter and producer. He also served as
a communications manager for the New York State Senate and has worked for a high-tech public relations agency. He
received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Ohio State University. Langsenkamp is the winner of multiple National
Silver Anvil Public relations award for PR programs.
Jane Mazur

Jane Mazur, Vice President Global/North America Public Relations, Bausch + Lomb Vision Care, is an accomplished public
relations executive with nearly 22 years experience in media relations, consumer and healthcare marketing,
entertainment/celebrity management, events and integrated promotions. Since joining Bausch + Lomb, Mazur successfully
led the global rollout of Biotrue, one of the fastest growing lenscare solutions in category history, established the
company’s social media presence amongst consumers and eye care professionals and created a media program spotlighting
eye doctors in local communities.

Prior to Bausch + Lomb, she was EVP, Director of Media Relations with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. There she

Eric Majchrzak

Eric Majchrzak is the Director of Marketing of Freed Maxick & Battaglia, CPAs, a “Top 100” largest CPA firm in the U.S. He is
a nationally renowned professional services marketer and a Board member of the national Association for Accounting
Marketing (AAM). In 2010, he was named by Accounting Today Magazine as one of the “100 Most Influential People” in the
accounting profession, acknowledging his progressive marketing techniques using social media. Eric drives revenue for his
Firm by leveraging integrated and inbound marketing strategies that include social media, mobile and search engine
marketing. He was also named one of Buffalo, NY’s “10 People to Watch in 2010″ by the reporters and editors of Buffalo
Business First. He has 20 years of experience in marketing, media and sales. He and/or his Firm have been published and

Lon Safko

Lon Safko is a remarkably creative person. He is the creator of the “First Computer To Save A Human Life” as coined by
Steve Jobs, Apple, Inc.. That computer, along with 18 other inventions and more than 30,000 of Lon‘s papers, are in the
Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. He has created numerous hardware and software solutions for the physically challenged,
developed the first CAD software for civil engineers, designed the archetypes for the Apple Newton & Microsoft’s Bob

Mark W. Schaefer

Mark W. Schaefer is a globally-recognized blogger, educator, business consultant and author of The Tao of Twitter. Mark

Executive Director of Knoxville-based Schaefer Marketing Solutions. He is an adjunct marketing professor at Rutgers

Bruce Skeaff

Bruce Skeaff is a communicator of 20 years’ experience in the Ontario Public Service. Before that, he was a news reporter
for 13 years. He has worked for a variety of Ontario newspapers including The Toronto Star. While in British Columbia, he
was a member of the BC Legislative Press Gallery for the Victoria Times-Colonist, and has freelanced in the UK and Europe
for The Canadian Press. In the Ontario Public Service, Mr. Skeaff has been the spokesman for Ontario’s Information and
Privacy Commissioner and has worked in the ministries of Health and Long-Term Care, Education, Training Colleges and
Universities, Municipal Affairs and Housing, Citizenship, and most recently the Ministry of Labour where he has been for
most of the last 10 years. He currently holds the position of Social Media Planner.

Mr. Skeaff holds a degree in political studies and philosophy from Trent University. He comes by his professional interests
honestly. In his family background are a Premier, one of the Fathers of Confederation, a Supreme Court Justice, a Mayor of
Toronto and one of Toronto’s most well-known newspapermen of the last century. In his private time, Mr. Skeaff is an avid
private pilot and horseback rider.
Amanda Nelson

Amanda Nelson is a Community Content Manager at Radian6, a Salesforce company. She has been in advertising for over
eight years for full service and interactive advertising agencies in New York and Connecticut. Amanda has worked on a
number of brands including JetBlue, Atlantic Records and Twinings Tea. She has awards from the Advertising Club of
Connecticut, New England Direct Marketing Association, the Publicity Club of New England and the American Banker
Association. Her focus is social media and her current role involves building, growing and managing the expansive Radian6
social media community, as well as curating and creating content for the brand. She is also a blogger and avid writer.

Jeremy Wright

Jeremy Wright is a longtime serial entrepenur who has been involved with the business, programming, and IT aspects of the
technology industry for nearly a decade. He was the CEO, President and Co-Founder of b5media, Inc, a prominent blog
network. He then spent time as a VP at Thornley Fallis/76design and as Digital Janitor (aka CEO) at BNOTIONS.ca, a
technology development shop based in Toronto. He is currently VP of Digital Strategy & Insight at OSL Marketing, Canada’s
largest private marketing and promotions agency. Jeremy is the author of Blog Marketing, a business book on blogging as
well as a father to his two wonderful boys, Evan and Alex.

  • 1. SOCIAL SHARE SUMMIT ROCHESTER Speaker Biographies Craig Agranoff Craig Agranoff is a CBS News Television Tech Correspondent. He is also the Tech Correspondent on 103.1 The Buzz Morning show. He is an entrepreneur, and national Social Engagement consultant as well as a noted specialist in online reputation management and monitoring. He is the co-founder of Gripd.com. He is affiliated with the University of Miami as a Venture Coach within The Launch Pad program. He has worked with many Internet startups and founded the tech blog sCommerce.com and Rev2.org. He was also a Tech/Social Media Correspondent in the New Times, InternetEvolution.com, VentureBeat.com and The Palm Beach Post. Currently he is a columnist for Miami Living Magazine. Agranoff has been featured in the Miami Herald, New Times, The Palm Beach Post, AOL Digital Cities, Slice, CenterNetworks, Thrillist, Daily Telegraph, and The Sun-Sentinel. Also has appeared on Gary Vaynerchuck’s Wine Library TV, Fox News, NBC News, Weekend Sunrise, and CBS News. Agranoff is currently working on his third book entitled “Unreal Potential” which discusses how to use augmented reality apps for business. It should be published later this year. Holly A. Barrett Holly serves as director of Public Relations and Social Marketing for Brand |Cool Marketing, working with clients such the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to build new communities of practice within clean technology, residential construction, and consumer markets. During her 20+ years in communications, Holly has managed integrated marketing programs for a variety of Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies, including Motorola, Xerox, Eastman Kodak, Harris RF, Mobil Chemical, Nextel, ViewSonic, IXOS Software, and Welch Allyn. Along the way she has worked for big-brand agencies like Text 100 and Young & Rubicam—driving both U.S. and international programs for a wide range of technology products and services—and has owned her own marketing business. One of Holly’s career highlights was helping Mobil Chemical work with government agencies and lobbyists in Washington, D.C. to establish the Council for Solid Waste Management. Started in response to McDonald’s concerns of using foam containers for food packaging, these efforts resulted in the long-term development of nationwide plastics recycling centers, along with community relations programs to promote participation at the municipal and K-12 levels. In her spare time, Holly provides communications consultancy as a member of the Board of Directors of Volunteers of America of Western New York, is a Cub Scout leader, and a member of PRSA. She resides in Fairport with her husband and three sons. She has a bachelor’s degree audio engineering from Michigan State University. Melissa Dobson Melissa is a solopreneur based in the Finger Lakes region of New York, specializing in community management for small businesses in the wine industry. She began her business without knowing a single person in the wine business but immersed herself in reading about the industry and its influencers. Formerly a self-proclaimed technophobe, Melissa dove into testing out new media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and blogs. She found that these tools helped her to engage and build relationships with the dynamic personalities within the wine industry community. In 2009, Melissa started at the ground level with a newcomer to the wine ecommerce space, Vin65. Together, Melissa and Vin65 developed an active online community and elevated Vin65 and its president, Andrew Kamphuis, to among the most recognized thought leaders in the wine technology sector. Prior to founding her own business, Melissa worked at Deutsch, Inc. in Manhattan on the PR team whose clients included Samuel Adams Beer, 7UP PLUS and Snapple. While in New York City, she discovered her love of following trends and personalities in the wine and culinary industries. Melissa is active in the new media community and founded the Finger Lakes chapter of the Academy of Wine Communications. She has conducted interactive workshops to help small business owners understand and engage their customer communities via social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, tumblr, YouTube, Flickr and other developing social technologies. She lives in Finger Lakes wine country with her husband, their Tibetan Spaniel and a recently rescued geriatric cat.
  • 2. Glen D. Gilmore Glen D. Gilmore is the principal of Gilmore Business Network, a social media consulting firm. An attorney by profession, he is also the senior social media advisor to Memphis-based Howell Marketing and to Harrisburg-based Deeter Gallaher Group, public relations and marketing firms with clients ranging from Fortune 500 to small businesses and non-profits. She has been in advertising for over eight years for full service and interactive advertising agencies in New York and Connecticut. Amanda has worked on a number of brands including JetBlue, Atlantic Records and Twinings Tea. She has awards from the Advertising Club of Connecticut, New England Direct Marketing Association, the Publicity Club of New England and the American Banker Association. Her focus is social media and her current role involves building, growing and managing the expansive Radian6 social media community, as well as curating and creating content for the brand. Jeremy Wright Jeremy Wright is a longtime serial entrepenur who has been involved with the business, programming, and IT aspects of the technology industry for nearly a decade.
