3. NATIONAL SPANISH HONORS EXAM
The National Spanish Honors Exam is an
online exam given at your school.
Over 3800 teachers in the United States
volunteer and give this test each year.
The exam will assess students in Grades 6-
12th, for there proficiency and achievement in
the study of Spanish as a second language.
4. SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships for High School students are as follows:
For 9th grade students:
NSE offers Global Citizen Scholarships
Application Deadline: February 15
For 11th grade students:
NSE offers Junior Travel Awards
Application Deadline: February 15
For 12th grade students:
NSE offers Scholarships for High School Seniors
Application Deadline: May 15
5. SCHOLARSHIPS CONT.
Students receiving a medal placement by
scoring at the 75th percentile or above on the
National Spanish Exam (Level 01, 1, 2 or 3).
Only ONE student per school may apply.
(Teachers at participating schools must
select the applicant from their own school.)
Recipients of the scholarship agree to make
travel arrangements by May 1, 2012
6. REGISTRATION
Deadline for Registration is January
31st, 2012.
Your Spanish Teacher will Register each
student of there choosing.
The cost is $3.00 per student.
7. PRACTICE BEFORE THE EXAM
Teachers will administer practice exams for:
Vocabulary and Grammar
Reading and Listening
8. THE EXAM
The Exam will last approximately 80 minutes (two
40 minute sessions).
The Exam contains 2 parts and is broken up in 2
class periods,
Achievement –Vocabulary and Grammar
Proficiency – Reading and Listening
