4. Definition - LMS
A learning management system (LMS)
is a software application or Web-based technology
used to plan, implement, and assess a specific
learning process.

deliver content, monitor student participation, and
assess student performance.

objects such as threaded discussions, video
conferencing, and discussion forums.

11. What is Moodle? (Modular Object Oriented Dynamic
Learning Environment)

Moodle is an Open Source Course Management System
(CMS).
It has become very popular among educators around
the world as a tool for creating online dynamic web sites
for their students.
To work, it needs to be installed on a web server
somewhere, either on one of your own computers or one
at a web hosting company.
