Digital strategist and indie label founder Mike Rosenthal tells the story of the recent transformations in the music industry from inside the brain trust of one of the most successful post-major label bands working today, OK Go. Coming on board as the band's digital strategist just 2 months before their 3rd album was set to be released on EMI / Capitol Records, Mike instead helped the band leave the system to create a company (Paracadute - literally "parachute" in Italian) that would oversee the release of their next three years of creative output, including three music videos with an accumulated 80 million YouTube views, and helped transform the group from "just another rock band" to pioneering visionaries of the new music industry.
