Why is Vision Important? As the owner, it is YOUR job to empower others to represent the company in the direction in which you want it to go - which is the vision. The vision is not broad, but instead is specific and obtainable.  The purpose of creating a company vision is to put a bulls-eye on the target in order for everyone to aim with accuracy.
