Human resource managers have praised a job fair organized by Jakarta archdiocese, with many saying they were able to find a large number of recruits. The two-day fair at the Catholic University of Atma Jaya, which ended yesterday and was entitled Let Us Share, saw 87 companies participate. “I am optimistic that there will be many candidates who can be recruited. Those who attended the fair really need jobs,” said Prasetyo Nurhardjanto, of electronic communication outlet, PT Dragon Computer and Communications. “We are opening 16 new branches across Indonesia, and there are 29 vacancies. We think we found about half the people we need at this event,” he said. He said the fair was better than placing advertisements in newspapers because “it wasn’t as costly and we got to meet potential candidates.”
