Your Questions About Bondservant

Thomas asks…

Do Some Christians Today still Approve of Slavery?
Except for murder, slavery has got to be one of the most immoral things a person can do. Yet
slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible clearly
approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how
hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves.

Many Jews and Christians will try to ignore the moral problems of slavery by saying that these
slaves were actually servants or indentured servants. Many translations of the Bible use the
word "servant", "bondservant", or "manservant" instead of "slave" to make the Bible seem less
immoral than it really is. While many slaves may have worked as household servants, that
doesn't mean that they were not slaves who were bought, sold, and treated worse than
livestock.

However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among
you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have
been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children
as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your
relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)
The following passage describes how the Hebrew slaves are to be treated.

If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year,
and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and
then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he
became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was
a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his
wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my
master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must
present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear
with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever. (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)

What kind of family values are these!?

                                                                                          1 / 16

Steve Winston answers:

First we all have to understand that we can't understand completely the huge cultural
differences between today and 5,000 years ago no matter how much studying anybody does.
Our idea of slavery today may be very different from what it actually was in the Old Testament.
Although I have not read it my self, there is a book I have been told about called "Slaves,
Women, and Homosexuals". It's suppose to display how the rights of these groups have
evolved since the time of the Old Testament and what God's (the christain God) perspective on
these groups has been throughout history.
Good question though! Makes me wanna look more into this topic.

Laura asks…

Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, do you know the
personal names of our Lord?
Hello all! I pray that you are doing well today. I have been studying the different names of God

                                                                                           2 / 16
and it is really fascinating!! Today I would like to share with you one of the names that I have
learned.
Adonai: Lord and Master
It is very important that we know Him as Master.
In the days of Abraham, a bondservant or slave was far better off than a hired hand, because
his master provided for him totally. It was the masters duty to protect and care for his slave
according to his need. The master even provided direction in his day to day living. Slaves of the
Hebrews were considered members of the household and were even allowed to participate in
the Passover after they were circumcised. Even Gentile slaves were given this right.
Oh dear friends, think about our Lord, our Master, is He not over the earthly masters? If the
masters in Abrahams time took complete care over their slaves will not our master take
complete care over us? The answer is YES, dear ones.
When we acknowledge Him as Master, then we are also allowing Him to take complete control
over our lives.
Will you acknowledge Him as Master today?

I am Thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know Thy testimonies. Psalm 119:125
Please feel free to e-mail me with prayer requests if you wish. I love you all, Cat

Steve Winston answers:

No. Yes, he is. Yes. Thank you.

Lizzie asks…

Does Jesus renew your mind? Why and how?
Philippians 2:5-8 (New King James Version)

The Humbled and Exalted Christ

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did
not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the
form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance
as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of
the cross.

Thanks for sharing and God bless you good!

Steve Winston answers:

Our minds are renewed through letting the Word of God have free reign in our lives. We should
not think that the Word will line up with the world, but that the world should line up to the Word.
As we read and study the Word we will find it able to reprove, correct and instruct, it is able to
perfect us, it keeps us from sinning, it is able to free us from the worlds way of thinking.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

                                                                                                 4 / 16
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Thy Word is truth, the truth will set us free.

Chris asks…

Christians - Are JW Jehovah's Witnesses and LDS Mormons true
Chritians or a cult? Why or Why not?
Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus was not God, but an angel.
True Christians believe Jesus was God.

Jesus is Almighty God manifest in the flesh.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in
the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made
that was made. John 1:1-3

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were
created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He
is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:15-17

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifested in the flesh,

                                                                                           5 / 16
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not
consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a
bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. Philippians 2:5-7
Mormons believe they can become a god like Jesus.
“ Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘ I am the
First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6)

Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one. (Isaiah 44:8)

Aslo see Isaiah 45:5; 45:14; 45:21; 45:22; 46:5; 46:9; 43:10 all of these verses say there is only
one God

Yet part of the mormon doctrine of God is the belief that every male mormon can become a god
himself? joseph smith said, " You have got to learn to become gods yourselves the same as all
gods before you." Brigham Young said, " The Lord created you and me for the purpose of
becoming gods like himself. We are created to become gods like unto out father in heaven.
Why do Jehovah's Witnesses use this verse to think Jesus is not God?
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. (Colossians 1:15) If you stop
here and listen to what you are told this means you could fall trap to this think of jesus is not
God. if you keep reading what the bible says after this verse you will not think you will know
Jesus is God.
Here is the big verse you are missing to Think Jesus was Born and not God: And He is the head
of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He
may have the preeminence. Colossians 1:18 This verse tells us that Jesus was firstborn from
the dead and Jesus is the beginning.

                                                                                            6 / 16
Steve Winston answers:

Many will use the term "Christian", however Jesus Christ-the LORD said that a person must be
Born Again {Jn. 3:3-5; Prov. 28:13-Repent(forsake our sins) Jn. 1:12; Rom. 10:9-10).

Both - the LDS Church and the J.W. Church
add and take away from the Holy WORD of GOD/the Bible. And it says Rev. Of the Bible NOT
to do take away or add to God's HOLY WORD or else He shall take your name out of the
Lamb's Book of Eternal Life. Mormonism has added 3 additional books: Book of Mormon, Pearl
of great price, and Doctrines and Covenents. J.W. Has an entirely different Bible than Born
Again Christians: the New World Translation of the Bible - which was originally put out through a
spirit medium. Go to these sites:

http://www.bible.ca/trinity/trinity-Greber.htm

http://www.bible.ca/trinity/trinity-translations.htm

http://www.geocities.com/greber99/

*Both are religions of works, and yes they are cults according to the Holy WORD of GOD
because they deny the Godhead - the Father, the Son/the WORD, and the Holy Spirit exist
eternally in three persons. Mormonism teaches these are three gods and J.W.'s teach that
Jesus was not the
Son/the Word in heaven before becoming flesh on earth but was the ArchAngel
Michael. *They also deny that the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross paid for remission of
sins {they say when Jesus shed His blood in the Garden - this brought remission of sins) and
His Resurrection for the ENTIRE Salvation of Mankind. *Mormonism teaches: It is not after they
have done all ourselves{the good works of mormonism), then the Sacrifice of Christ is added on
for their salvation! **We can not help GOD to save us. "Salvation is by GRACE through faith
alone. It is a Gift of GOD. We can not ever boast of having helped GOD toward our salvation."
{Eph 2:8-9) - for any of our personal goods works are simply filthy rags to GOD. *God made
Jesus who knew NO sin to be made sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness
of GOD in Christ {2 Cor. 5:21). It is an exchange: we give GOD our sins and He imparts to us
the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

The fear of the LORD is what enables Born Again believers to choose to believe and by God's
Grace through faith- act upon the Holy WORD of GOD/the Bible. We dare not add to or take
away from God's Holy WORD !

*We {Born Again Believers) who are serving Jesus Christ AND the WORD of GOD as LORD
should never be ashamed of the Gospel of Salvation. *"The Gospel of Salvation is the 'entire'
WORD of GOD!"

*"Jesus-the WORD 'is' LORD and GOD!"

p.s. - I'll probably receive many thumbs down by those who believe that the J.W. Religion AND

                                                                                          7 / 16
Mormonism is not a Cult. But these two religions are Cults - they are Based on Good-Works and
one has adopted a New Testament from an evil spirit working through a medium{go to the sites
above) and the other cult has added three books to be used with the Bible - which were given
by a False Prophet {and the Word of God clearly shows that Jesus was the Last Prophet).
Jesus Christ is the prophet of Deut. 18:18 and is the Last final prophet - who is the Messiah =
Yeshua Jesus the LORD.

*"It is God's {Yahwah's/Jehovah's) Will that 'no one' should follow these two Cults -
for they will bring one straight into the Lake of Fire for ALL Eternity."*

Jesus Himself said: "You MUST be Born Again {Jn. 3:3-5; see Prov 28:13; Jn. 1:12;
Rom. 10:9-10). *Jesus did NOT say: "You must be jehovah witness!" And Jesus did NOT say:
"You must be Mormon!"
*Jesus-who is the WAY, the TRUTH & the
LIFE- said: "You MUST be Born Again - in order to see and enter the Kingdom of God"
*"The Free Gift of Eternal Life is in and thorugh the LORD Jesus Christ ALONE !"

Good luck to you Al, I wish you well and still think you are able to operate justly if you look inside

I honestly did not think this would be a problem, I'm just a guy with a different perspective,
Does anyone want to comment on what I did and point out what I may or may not have done to

By the way I would rather have Gore than GWB, I don't dislike him, I just pointed something out.

Steve Winston answers:

If you read the guidelines for what is expected on the site, it says you should only answer a
question if you really are answering the question. What you posted, while not offensive to most
people, did not make any attempt to answer the question.

In fairness, though, the guidelines don't seem to be enforced very well on here anyway. So it
was selective of them to enforce it on you.

As for report abuse options, I haven't noticed, did Click and Clack and other featured question
askers have the button? Did they also link to their own for-profit sites? I'm guessing that's how
Yahoo gets them to participate.

Nancy asks…

Joyce Meyer-the Multimillionaire Televangelist?
You all know Joyce Meyer, the multimillionaire televangelist. When it comes to money she
preaches one thing-AND LIVES THE TOTAL OPPOSITE!

Wouldn't be nice to own 5 mansions? A 500K vacation home? 100K cars? A 10 million dollar
plane?

And that's not all. If you become Joyce Meyer, you sell books at Wal-Mart were the poor shop,
but not if your Joyce! Her clothes are all hand made! You get armed security guards, a 105K
boat, $30,000 tables, well you get the picture.

Matt 6:19-21, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth....." ? I'm not bashing her
theology, and she's done some good things! I have serious issues with preachers that don't live
as a bondservant of Christ, and have issues with wealth and materialism. They won't be telling
you this stuff on their next show, but is available online.

If you don't like this question-which is pure fact-then start looking on the net. It's true! It's all over
the internet. This link is from the St. Louis Post Dispatch-

http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/special/joycemeyer.nsf/front?openview&count=2000

Here's a link from a christian website. It is unflattering, and a condensed version. It is based
from the series of stories from the St.Louis Post Dispatch.

http://www.apostasywatch.com/teaching5/page8.html

NOTE: I did a question, using reputable sources, about Benny Hinn's wealth. No one supported
him. Why all the support for Joyce Meyer?
I'm not jealous of this multimillionaire, that doesn't live like a bondservant of Christ. And a lot
televangelists live like this. Why do people support this woman's millionaire lifestyle, but bash
Benny Hinn's?

                                                                                                  10 / 16
Steve Winston answers:

Anthony, I couldn't agree with you more. This is a real problem that I have with televangelists
who flaunt money and spend it to live extravagant lifestyles for themselves.

I wrote letters last year to all of the televangelists on tv-they all pretty much live this way. T.D.
Jakes, Joel O'Steen, Pat Robertson, etc.. . Perhaps the only one who lives somewhat modestly
is Charles Stanley, but you may tell me the same is true of him, I don't know.

I wrote the letters to ask for financial statements in order to see how much of their donations
were being spent on ministries to the poor. I criticized them for raking in so much money and
taking advantage of poor people who send money that they really can't afford to send. And I
couldn't understand why poverty and homelessness in this country STILL exists. I asked them
why they weren't doing anything to help end it.
Certainly if all of these super-churches pooled their monies together, they could put a good dent
into it.

I also criticized them for spending what seems like most of their monies on missions to countries
like Africa and India. I told them if the Federal Government spends Bilions of taxpayers' monies
in these countries, then why did they feel they also had to do so?

Don't get me wrong, I think money should be spent in these countries if they really need it. But
we're not seeing any results.

I have to tell you that I did not get a single letter back from any of the ministries I wrote to,
except a form letter from Joyce Meyer Ministries and a free video and booklet on the subject of
"Hope". So I know that my letter was either not read or ignored.

We have all seen the demise of the PTL ministries. GOD will bring these people down
eventually, if they are not carrying out HIS plan or being obedient to HIM.

Thank you for the provocative question and exposing the truth of these ministries.

                                                                                              11 / 16

Ramadan ~ What Does One Say At The Times Of Hardship?

[ O' my ilah it is your Mercy that I beseech, so do not entrust me to myself for even a twinkle of

4) "Allahu allahu rabbee la ush riku bihi shay an"

[Allah, Allah my Lord I associate not with Him a thing.]
(Abu Dawud)

5) It is reported of the Prophet (SAW) that he said: "No preoccupying concern, or sadness

[O' my ilah I am your bondservant, son of your bondsman, and son of your bondwoman. My
forelock is in your Hands; your judgement is continuously being carried out upon me; your
sentence upon me is juste. I ask You with every name that is yours, with which You have
named yourself, brought down in your book, taught to one of your creation, or have preferred for
Yourself in the hidden knoweldge, with You; that You make the Quran the spring of my heart,

Your Questions About Bondservant

  • 1. Your Questions About Bondservant Thomas asks… Do Some Christians Today still Approve of Slavery? Except for murder, slavery has got to be one of the most immoral things a person can do. Yet slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves. Many Jews and Christians will try to ignore the moral problems of slavery by saying that these slaves were actually servants or indentured servants. Many translations of the Bible use the word "servant", "bondservant", or "manservant" instead of "slave" to make the Bible seem less immoral than it really is. While many slaves may have worked as household servants, that doesn't mean that they were not slaves who were bought, sold, and treated worse than livestock. However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT) The following passage describes how the Hebrew slaves are to be treated. If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever. (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT) What kind of family values are these!? 1 / 16
  • 2. So, Jenny loves her slaves, does she Steve Winston answers: First we all have to understand that we can't understand completely the huge cultural differences between today and 5,000 years ago no matter how much studying anybody does. Our idea of slavery today may be very different from what it actually was in the Old Testament. Although I have not read it my self, there is a book I have been told about called "Slaves, Women, and Homosexuals". It's suppose to display how the rights of these groups have evolved since the time of the Old Testament and what God's (the christain God) perspective on these groups has been throughout history. Good question though! Makes me wanna look more into this topic. Laura asks… Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, do you know the personal names of our Lord? Hello all! I pray that you are doing well today. I have been studying the different names of God 2 / 16
  • 3. and it is really fascinating!! Today I would like to share with you one of the names that I have learned. Adonai: Lord and Master It is very important that we know Him as Master. In the days of Abraham, a bondservant or slave was far better off than a hired hand, because his master provided for him totally. It was the masters duty to protect and care for his slave according to his need. The master even provided direction in his day to day living. Slaves of the Hebrews were considered members of the household and were even allowed to participate in the Passover after they were circumcised. Even Gentile slaves were given this right. Oh dear friends, think about our Lord, our Master, is He not over the earthly masters? If the masters in Abrahams time took complete care over their slaves will not our master take complete care over us? The answer is YES, dear ones. When we acknowledge Him as Master, then we are also allowing Him to take complete control over our lives. Will you acknowledge Him as Master today? I am Thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know Thy testimonies. Psalm 119:125 Please feel free to e-mail me with prayer requests if you wish. I love you all, Cat Steve Winston answers: No. Yes, he is. Yes. Thank you. 3 / 16
  • 4. Lizzie asks… Does Jesus renew your mind? Why and how? Philippians 2:5-8 (New King James Version) The Humbled and Exalted Christ 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Thanks for sharing and God bless you good! Steve Winston answers: Our minds are renewed through letting the Word of God have free reign in our lives. We should not think that the Word will line up with the world, but that the world should line up to the Word. As we read and study the Word we will find it able to reprove, correct and instruct, it is able to perfect us, it keeps us from sinning, it is able to free us from the worlds way of thinking. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 4 / 16
  • 5. Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Thy Word is truth, the truth will set us free. Chris asks… Christians - Are JW Jehovah's Witnesses and LDS Mormons true Chritians or a cult? Why or Why not? Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus was not God, but an angel. True Christians believe Jesus was God. Jesus is Almighty God manifest in the flesh. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:1-3 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:15-17 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, 5 / 16
  • 6. Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. Philippians 2:5-7 Mormons believe they can become a god like Jesus. “ Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘ I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6) Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one. (Isaiah 44:8) Aslo see Isaiah 45:5; 45:14; 45:21; 45:22; 46:5; 46:9; 43:10 all of these verses say there is only one God Yet part of the mormon doctrine of God is the belief that every male mormon can become a god himself? joseph smith said, " You have got to learn to become gods yourselves the same as all gods before you." Brigham Young said, " The Lord created you and me for the purpose of becoming gods like himself. We are created to become gods like unto out father in heaven. Why do Jehovah's Witnesses use this verse to think Jesus is not God? He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. (Colossians 1:15) If you stop here and listen to what you are told this means you could fall trap to this think of jesus is not God. if you keep reading what the bible says after this verse you will not think you will know Jesus is God. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:15-17 Here is the big verse you are missing to Think Jesus was Born and not God: And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Colossians 1:18 This verse tells us that Jesus was firstborn from the dead and Jesus is the beginning. 6 / 16
  • 7. Steve Winston answers: Many will use the term "Christian", however Jesus Christ-the LORD said that a person must be Born Again {Jn. 3:3-5; Prov. 28:13-Repent(forsake our sins) Jn. 1:12; Rom. 10:9-10). Both - the LDS Church and the J.W. Church add and take away from the Holy WORD of GOD/the Bible. And it says Rev. Of the Bible NOT to do take away or add to God's HOLY WORD or else He shall take your name out of the Lamb's Book of Eternal Life. Mormonism has added 3 additional books: Book of Mormon, Pearl of great price, and Doctrines and Covenents. J.W. Has an entirely different Bible than Born Again Christians: the New World Translation of the Bible - which was originally put out through a spirit medium. Go to these sites: http://www.bible.ca/trinity/trinity-Greber.htm http://www.bible.ca/trinity/trinity-translations.htm http://www.geocities.com/greber99/ *Both are religions of works, and yes they are cults according to the Holy WORD of GOD because they deny the Godhead - the Father, the Son/the WORD, and the Holy Spirit exist eternally in three persons. Mormonism teaches these are three gods and J.W.'s teach that Jesus was not the Son/the Word in heaven before becoming flesh on earth but was the ArchAngel Michael. *They also deny that the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross paid for remission of sins {they say when Jesus shed His blood in the Garden - this brought remission of sins) and His Resurrection for the ENTIRE Salvation of Mankind. *Mormonism teaches: It is not after they have done all ourselves{the good works of mormonism), then the Sacrifice of Christ is added on for their salvation! **We can not help GOD to save us. "Salvation is by GRACE through faith alone. It is a Gift of GOD. We can not ever boast of having helped GOD toward our salvation." {Eph 2:8-9) - for any of our personal goods works are simply filthy rags to GOD. *God made Jesus who knew NO sin to be made sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of GOD in Christ {2 Cor. 5:21). It is an exchange: we give GOD our sins and He imparts to us the righteousness of Jesus Christ. The fear of the LORD is what enables Born Again believers to choose to believe and by God's Grace through faith- act upon the Holy WORD of GOD/the Bible. We dare not add to or take away from God's Holy WORD ! *We {Born Again Believers) who are serving Jesus Christ AND the WORD of GOD as LORD should never be ashamed of the Gospel of Salvation. *"The Gospel of Salvation is the 'entire' WORD of GOD!" *"Jesus-the WORD 'is' LORD and GOD!" p.s. - I'll probably receive many thumbs down by those who believe that the J.W. Religion AND 7 / 16
  • 8. Mormonism is not a Cult. But these two religions are Cults - they are Based on Good-Works and one has adopted a New Testament from an evil spirit working through a medium{go to the sites above) and the other cult has added three books to be used with the Bible - which were given by a False Prophet {and the Word of God clearly shows that Jesus was the Last Prophet). Jesus Christ is the prophet of Deut. 18:18 and is the Last final prophet - who is the Messiah = Yeshua Jesus the LORD. *"It is God's {Yahwah's/Jehovah's) Will that 'no one' should follow these two Cults - for they will bring one straight into the Lake of Fire for ALL Eternity."* Jesus Himself said: "You MUST be Born Again {Jn. 3:3-5; see Prov 28:13; Jn. 1:12; Rom. 10:9-10). *Jesus did NOT say: "You must be jehovah witness!" And Jesus did NOT say: "You must be Mormon!" *Jesus-who is the WAY, the TRUTH & the LIFE- said: "You MUST be Born Again - in order to see and enter the Kingdom of God" *"The Free Gift of Eternal Life is in and thorugh the LORD Jesus Christ ALONE !" ` Richard asks… My answer to Al Gore Deleted and called offensive, anyone think this was this was wrong? or offensive? My answer goes as follows: WARNING: Notice that Al has no "report abuse" link beside him! This is a publicity stunt that goes against what this forum expresses. Al, has answered no 8 / 16
  • 9. questions, and ask only one that is full of links to his personal for profit websites.....Go figure a politician manipulating us for his personal gain. Ask nothing real,, answer nothing at all and .... stand in front of us all and say "look at what I have done"....A typical politician. Good luck to you Al, I wish you well and still think you are able to operate justly if you look inside yourself and forget the soothsayers that surround you. Peace to you and your home, Bondservant. I honestly did not think this would be a problem, I'm just a guy with a different perspective, Does anyone want to comment on what I did and point out what I may or may not have done to offend yahoo? By the way I would rather have Gore than GWB, I don't dislike him, I just pointed something out. Steve Winston answers: If you read the guidelines for what is expected on the site, it says you should only answer a question if you really are answering the question. What you posted, while not offensive to most people, did not make any attempt to answer the question. In fairness, though, the guidelines don't seem to be enforced very well on here anyway. So it was selective of them to enforce it on you. As for report abuse options, I haven't noticed, did Click and Clack and other featured question askers have the button? Did they also link to their own for-profit sites? I'm guessing that's how Yahoo gets them to participate. 9 / 16
  • 10. Nancy asks… Joyce Meyer-the Multimillionaire Televangelist? You all know Joyce Meyer, the multimillionaire televangelist. When it comes to money she preaches one thing-AND LIVES THE TOTAL OPPOSITE! Wouldn't be nice to own 5 mansions? A 500K vacation home? 100K cars? A 10 million dollar plane? And that's not all. If you become Joyce Meyer, you sell books at Wal-Mart were the poor shop, but not if your Joyce! Her clothes are all hand made! You get armed security guards, a 105K boat, $30,000 tables, well you get the picture. Matt 6:19-21, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth....." ? I'm not bashing her theology, and she's done some good things! I have serious issues with preachers that don't live as a bondservant of Christ, and have issues with wealth and materialism. They won't be telling you this stuff on their next show, but is available online. If you don't like this question-which is pure fact-then start looking on the net. It's true! It's all over the internet. This link is from the St. Louis Post Dispatch- http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/special/joycemeyer.nsf/front?openview&count=2000 Here's a link from a christian website. It is unflattering, and a condensed version. It is based from the series of stories from the St.Louis Post Dispatch. http://www.apostasywatch.com/teaching5/page8.html NOTE: I did a question, using reputable sources, about Benny Hinn's wealth. No one supported him. Why all the support for Joyce Meyer? I'm not jealous of this multimillionaire, that doesn't live like a bondservant of Christ. And a lot televangelists live like this. Why do people support this woman's millionaire lifestyle, but bash Benny Hinn's? 10 / 16
  • 11. Steve Winston answers: Anthony, I couldn't agree with you more. This is a real problem that I have with televangelists who flaunt money and spend it to live extravagant lifestyles for themselves. I wrote letters last year to all of the televangelists on tv-they all pretty much live this way. T.D. Jakes, Joel O'Steen, Pat Robertson, etc.. . Perhaps the only one who lives somewhat modestly is Charles Stanley, but you may tell me the same is true of him, I don't know. I wrote the letters to ask for financial statements in order to see how much of their donations were being spent on ministries to the poor. I criticized them for raking in so much money and taking advantage of poor people who send money that they really can't afford to send. And I couldn't understand why poverty and homelessness in this country STILL exists. I asked them why they weren't doing anything to help end it. Certainly if all of these super-churches pooled their monies together, they could put a good dent into it. I also criticized them for spending what seems like most of their monies on missions to countries like Africa and India. I told them if the Federal Government spends Bilions of taxpayers' monies in these countries, then why did they feel they also had to do so? Don't get me wrong, I think money should be spent in these countries if they really need it. But we're not seeing any results. I have to tell you that I did not get a single letter back from any of the ministries I wrote to, except a form letter from Joyce Meyer Ministries and a free video and booklet on the subject of "Hope". So I know that my letter was either not read or ignored. We have all seen the demise of the PTL ministries. GOD will bring these people down eventually, if they are not carrying out HIS plan or being obedient to HIM. Thank you for the provocative question and exposing the truth of these ministries. 11 / 16
