3. Failure to appear warrant issued ,but ,defendant was never notified about court date bondsman
did not notify either. Defendant turned themselves in(and got time served) before bondsman
money was forfeited Through the court. Bondsman did not loose any money. Failure to appear
was not charged because of extenuating circumstances (death of defendants child)
Steve Winston answers:
A skip tracer does not receive payment unless the fugitive is brought in by the skip tracer.
But it depends on the contract that you signed with the bondsman.
If the contract says that upon issuance of a FTA you forfeit the money, then you owe it.
It's a contract law case.

4. I just didn't know, like, if the actual bail bondsman goes chasing criminals? Or do they have
other people do that for them or what?
Whatever dude, Dog is amazing. Have you ever seen the show? He actually treats the people
he catches like HUMAN BEINGS. He talks to them and gives them encouragement/advice. He
shows them God's love.
Steve Winston answers:
A bondman sits in an office waiting for clients who need to make bail. When he acquires a
client, he goes to the jail to sign the papers that prove the client posted the bail. He has to make
sure his clients go to court on the date set by a judge. IF they miss their court date he waits for
the judge to issue a warrant then he usually hires a bounty hunter to locate and arrest the client
which will assure that he gets his money. The client only has to put down 10 percent, with the
remainder being collateral. When they miss their date, he gets the full 100 percent! A bounty
hunter usually makes between $50,000 - $80,000 a yr.
After I posted I noticed you edited... Some bail bondsman do there own bounty hunting.
I hope I was able to help answer your question!
