Your Questions About Nasdaq Omx

Mary asks…

Lousy stock market performance? Yes? No?
With every stock exchange in the world in the red would'nt it be better to explain this deep
downturn on external forces as opposed to internal (US domestic stats)? I mean- there is not
one foreign stock exchange that has not merged, or is about to merge, with larger exchanges.
Example: NASDAQ/OMX, NYSE/EURONEXT and others. With US, Canada and Mexican
markets so intertwined-how could you not expect their financial woprlds NOT TO EFFECT OUR
HOLDINGS?

Steve Winston answers:

Right now is the time to buy good, rock solid companies. Stick with best of breed stocks right
now.

The market is on Sale! The profits to be made will be huge for those who know how to ride the
beast.

You can play the blame game all you want, you can cry and complaine and anything else you
please. But it won't make you any money.

That's what the game is all about, Now go buy some good stocks.

                                                                                           1/5

Is our nation run by complete crooks?
Bernard Madoff arrested over alleged $50 billion fraud

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Bernard Madoff, a long-time fixture and powerful adviser on Wall
Street, was arrested and charged on Thursday with allegedly running a $50 billion Ponzi
scheme, U.S. authorities said.

The former chairman of the Nasdaq Stock Market who remains a member of Nasdaq OMX
Group Inc's nominating committee, is best known as the founder of Bernard L. Madoff
Investment Securities LLC, the closely-held market-making firm he founded

these people steal so much more than they can ever spend

do they just get off on ruining people's lives?

                                                                                          2/5

You right...greed is very contagious.....especially in those who see money

Helen asks…

which stock should i buy?
i have a project in econ class, and i have to buy 3 to 5 stocks, and we're given $10,000 (fake
obviously), but i don't know which stocks i should buy, and who ever ends up with the most
money at the end of 5 weeks gets a prize, and i think it's extra credit, which i really really want.

so far i'm thinking about...
the dow chemical co. (DOW:US)
the NASDAQ OMX Group Inc. (NDAQ:US)
delphi (DPHIQ:US)

Are these good to buy?
any ideas on which stocks i should buy that will give me a lot more money?

                                                                                                3/5
Steve Winston answers:

Peabody Energy (BTU), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), Hewlett Packard (HPQ), Celgene (CELG),
Apple (AAPL)

Susan asks…

Yahoo Finance not showing stock chart properly?
Hi, there seems to be a nasty bug in Yahoo Finance.

I am entering "Interactive Chart" and searching for BlackPearl Resources on Nasdaq OMX First
North (ticker PXXS-SDB.ST)

Query: http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=PXXS-SDB.ST+Interactive#chart2:symbol=pxxs-sd
b.st;range=2y;indicator=volume;charttype=candlestick;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=1;logscale=off;s
ource=undefined

Everything is fine as long as I am viewing intraday charts, but when I click 2Y button to show
trades 2 years back, I suddenly end up with a chart that stops in april 2011. This happens with
other stocks as well, for example ENJO-B.ST.

This bug is very annoying while I use the Candlestix app in my mobile phone. Candlestix is
getting its stock data from Yahoo and the same problem occurs there.

What shall I do?

                                                                                           4/5
Steve Winston answers:

Check the phone settings or clear your brower cache, I'm not getting this bug on Chrome.
