1. Your Questions About Stock Market Game
Susan asks…
What stocks should i buy in a stock market game?
playing a stock market game for school. want to buy stock in companies that will hold steady
or go up. suggestions? is apple a good buy?
Steve Winston answers:
Generally, the people or teams that do well in stock market games tend to pick companies with
high volatility (i.e. Companies who's prices swing wildly up or down). You can find the most
volatile stocks in the "over the counter" market. I have been pretty successful with my
investment in Animas Resources, Inc. (ANIMF). The company mines gold. However, it's not a
game - I actually bought the stock. It's gone up over 300% since I bought it. The price has been
pretty steady for the last several months, but I think it's set to take off again soon.

Is there a stock market simulation game that follows the actual
stock rates?
I'm looking for a stock market game that follows actual stock value in the market each day to
try out some investment strategies and just have fun with. If there isn't what is the best one to
use as far as the free ones online go?
Steve Winston answers:
Investopedia.com not only has a great simulator that is widely used, you can use this site for all
your financial definitions and education needs.

What is the best way to play the stock market in the georgia stock
market game?
i am playing a stock market game for the state of georgia for my economics class what is the
best way to get ahead of the game.....also is there a way to trade illegally for the game to get
ahead....
Steve Winston answers:
The stocks you want to focus on is consumer staples, consumer discretionary, and healthcare.
These are DEFENSIVE stocks that will survive through good and bad times. Most of my
positions are in these stocks. Some names include 3M, Procter & Gamble, Kimberly Clark,
Exxon Mobil, Walmart, Costco. Everybody's got to eat and wipe their butts regardless of the
state of economy. Many of these companies survived through the Great Depression.
That's the benefits. You can sleep at night knowing your money is doing well. There are NO
guarantees that you won't lose money. It's just that these stocks are the best. They pay good
dividends too.

What virtual stock market game should I play?
I want to sign up and play a virtual stock market game, i'm absolutely a rookie (i'm 17) which
one should I choose? Some of the good ones I've seen are We Seed and Wall Street Survivor.
Steve Winston answers:
I signed up for young money. I haven't tried others. It feels great to trade with lots of virtual
money. You can really earn good money by doing day trading an also you don't have to wait for
the money from your sell as you can keep some cash on hand always.
