To find a puppy you have to go to the pet
store or to a pound. You have to decide if you
want a big dog or a little dog. Then, look at
each puppy. They will all be different. Some
might be messy, while the others are clean.
Some will like to play with balls, and others
may not. Then, you can choose your puppy.
You have to get the person who sells the
puppies. Then you pay for the puppy and take
him home!

Training Your Puppy
You can train your puppy to do different
things. You have to take it one at a time. To
teach your puppy how to fetch a ball, first let
him see and smell the ball. Then, you can
throw the ball. Go with him to get the ball
and walk back. Have your puppy drop it. If it
is an inside puppy, you probably want to
potty-train the puppy.

Caring for your Puppy
You should walk your puppy daily. Get
your puppy two doggy bowls for water and
food. You can clean your puppies messes.
Give your puppy lots of attention, groom your
puppy, and take your puppy to the vet to get
him shots and to make sure he is healthy.

Dog Relationships
Your puppy may not like some animals like
a cat or a guinea pig. Sometimes they get
upset or jealous. Make sure you play with all
your pets equally.
