Design for middle way of intelligent energy-saving system with embedded system
1. DESIGN FOR MIDDLE-WAY OF INTELLIGENT ENERGYSAVING SYSTEM WITH EMBEDDED SYSTEM
Abstract:
Energy saving and carbon reduction becomes the global issue for saving the earth. Since
people often forget to turn off the electrical facilities with carelessness, so the effect of passive to
remind people for energy-saving was limited, but if we constructed automotive and active
monitoring mechanism to proceed to energy management, the effect of energy-saving would be
much better. The detecting of running parameters of the energy-saving system was affected by
design cost and efficiency, which includes power, power factor, voltage and current, harmonic.
The space parameters include classification of facilities, number of people, temperature, CO2,
humidity, luminance, the position of people etc.
Existing system:
At present the RS 422 protocols and Power Line communication (PLC) is used. The
disadvantage is that the amount of cabling required is huge. This is overcome in the proposed
system.
Proposed system:
In the proposed system, a sensor network is framed. The sensors used are temperature,
humidity, LDR, CO2 Sensor. The system consists of a PIC Microcontroller interfaced with the
above said sensors. The sensor values are transmitted to PC. Two bulbs are controlled based on
the number of person entering the room which is obtained using RFID technique. RFID cards are
used to count the no of persons entering. If manual mode is set in PC, the devices are controlled
manually from PC. The communication between PC and the microcontroller is ETHERNET
based.
