4. Magneto
• Teams must build a wireless controlled machine that is controlled
solely by wrist movement.
• The robots must compete in a one-on-one match to transfer the balls
to opponent’s arena to earn maximum points.
• The robot must do the allotted task within the time stipulated.

5. Polaroid:
Puzzle of Pixel
• Teams have to make a 'pirate' bot which will make a pattern using
principle of image processing.

6. Hover-On
• Team must build an autonomous hovercraft to traverse through the
arena using line following mechanism.

7. Scholastic
• Open for the students of 8th – 12th standard.
• Team must build a wireless controlled DC propulsion vehicle.
• Following skills will be tested:

9. Robowars:
DeathWell
• Design and construct a remote controlled robot capable
of fighting a one on one tournament.

10. FullThrottle:
The Chase
• Make a wireless remote controlled machine, powered
only by an IC engine, which can race against other
opponents on an off-road dirt track with many
obstacles.

11. Aviator
Flying Design
• The competition requires the
participant to perform a set of
manoeuvres.
• The participants will have to do
spot landing i.e. land the plane in
a define area after completing the
manoeuvres.
• Design and make a fast, light,
wireless remote controlled
aircraft (using electric motors
only), which can manoeuvre
around the mentioned path and
having a maximum wing loading
in the least possible time, before
landing in the specified zone.

• Continuing the trend of bringing the most exciting gala of
bots, Techfest once again brings the National Zonals -
Cassiopeian Wars to test the 3 basics in technology in
each element of the competition.

15. Apexo
• Teams must build a manually controlled machine
which can collect as well as deposit balls from the
collection zone to the deposition zone.

16. GridWarrior
• Teams must build an autonomous bot which can
find the correct coordinates and navigate there by
the principles of line following.

• Teams are required to solve the real life problems
through coding. Programming skills of participants
would be tested.

19. Hydranoid: Rush
• Make a manually controlled machine, which can travel the specified
obstacle course using Hydraulic mechanisms only.

20. Contraption
• Make a multi-step arrangement with the ultimate aim of
rolling a ball to knock out the light weight bowling pins.

22. HackTricks
• Workshops shall be conducted with an aim of grooming the
students with the fundamentals of ethical hacking and cyber
security, which are no doubt the most exciting part of the event.
• Finalists for the Hack Tricks competition will be selected by zonal
legs of the Ethical Hacking Outreach Program pan India.

Coding Challenge
• Teams are required to solve the real life problems through
coding. Programming skills of participants would be tested.

• Being held in 11 countries across the globe in France, Russia,
Ethiopia, Sweden and many more
• There will be two bots, a manual and an autonomous. They need to
coordinate with each other to complete the task

• Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is an
academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to
educate participants about current events, topics in
international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations
agenda.

• Design an integrated motor and transmission system (with
controller) for a hybrid car for the future.
Automotive Challenge

29. Inclino
• Techfest brings you the challenge to design a structure
similar to “The leaning tower of Pisa” using popsicle sticks
and adhesive that can sustain the mentioned load,
satisfying the constraints.

• The team will be submitting timely reports after the event
begins mentioning all the activities they have performed by
providing proof, as mentioned in the submission criterion for
every particular task. The tasks have been divided into 3
categories viz. easy, medium and hard. Points will be awarded
accordingly by the judges along with a provision of partial
marking on the basis of the accomplishment of tasks to give
credit and appreciation to their efforts.
