           There’s no shortage of creative thinkers out there.
           What’s a little harder to find are creative thinkers who
           understand business. That’s where Supernova Media
           Shines.

           We are a full service web company. We provide our
           customers with a uniform custom branded web
           presence.

           At Supernova Media we specialize in the speedy setup
           of WordPress websites & blogs. All our websites are
           mobile friendly, have onsite search engine optimization
           and social media integration.
Local Pages
        When Google+ and Google+ Pages for business were
        introduced a little less than a year ago many people in the
        local search arena began anticipating the day when Google
        would merge or integrate Google Places and Google+
        Pages.

        Google Places pages have been entirely replaced by new
        Google+ Local pages. Google says that to date, 80 million
        Google Places pages worldwide have already been merged
        to this new platform. It’s a dramatic change (for the better)
        though it will undoubtedly disorient some users and
        business owners.
Local Pages
If you check out any of these new format pages, you’ll notice they are considerably more user-friendly,
dynamic, and easier to interact with than pre-existing Google Place pages. I’ve heard many experts
describe Local+ pages as more attractive and easier-to-use Facebook brand pages and I wouldn’t
completely disagree. There are certainly similarities. Regardless of how you look at them, your
Local+ page is your new Google business profile for your company, housing all important business
information.

The pages also make use of Google’s acquisition
of Zagat from last year, replacing star ratings with
more complete 30-point Zagat scores and
recommendations to give users a better way to
evaluate and select local businesses. You’re also
able to see who in your Google+ Circles has
been to the restaurant so that you can find
reviews and ratings directly from them.
Local Pages
When a user looks
up your business
on Google, this
page is what they
will find. The pages
are designed to
give business
owners a much
more social way to
interact with
consumers, in a
way that Place
pages simply did
not allow.
Local Pages
For the time being, you now have two Google+ pages that you’ll need to
manage and worry about. However, the time when you’ll be able to merge
your Google+ Business page with your Google Local+ page is coming. In
fact, to give you a sense of what it will look like, you can view the listings
for select companies below. These are folks Google has worked with to
upgrade their listings early so that we could all see what it would look like:

So while you may have two pages today, Google is working to give
business owners the options to merge. Once this happens, you’ll have a
one-stop Google portal for your business on the Web.
Reviews
Google will be moving over the reviews on your Place page to your Local+ page, however,
unless the user who left the review goes through Google’s verification process, all of your
reviews will now show up as being from “A Google User”. Not the best true cue. However, if
the user does go through the quick verification process (which Google will prompt them to
do), than the reviews will be tied to their Google+ account. Going forward, in order for
anyone to leave a review of your business, they must do so from their Google+ account.
Local Pages
         Users will be able to discover the new Google+ Local pages
         in several ways: through a search on Google.com or Google
         Maps, in mobile apps or through a search on Google+.

         As a result, Google+ becomes another local search
         destination within Google, arguably with richer content and
         more functionality than Google.com offers at the SERP
         (Search Engine Results Page) level.

         Not unlike some similar functionality offered in Foursquare,
         users will be able to sort and filter search results by several
         criteria, including “your circles,” which will reveal places
         “touched” by friends. Currently this means reviews and posts,
         but could extend to check-ins later.
Local Pages
If you click the new “Local” tab in
Google+ you’re taken to a personalized
local home (discovery) page, which
offers a mix of popular, social and
recommended content. There are
several variables that go into the content
that appears on this page. The same two
people in Seattle won’t see the same
page, though aspects of it may be the
same.

What’s also interesting is that Google
has returned to a two search-box
approach for Google+ Local.
Local Pages

              Local pages can be viewed as the search giant's
              newest business strategy to attract and get more
              people to join and actively participate in Google+. As
              Google+ is created to compete with social
              networking giants like Facebook and Twitter, the
              search giant doesn't want to lag behind the social
              networking race.

Local Pages When Google+ and Google+ Pages for business were introduced a little less than a year ago many people in the local search arena began anticipating the day when Google would merge or integrate Google Places and Google+ Pages. Google Places pages have been entirely replaced by new Google+ Local pages. Google says that to date, 80 million Google Places pages worldwide have already been merged to this new platform. It’s a dramatic change (for the better) though it will undoubtedly disorient some users and business owners.
  • 5. Local Pages If you check out any of these new format pages, you’ll notice they are considerably more user-friendly, dynamic, and easier to interact with than pre-existing Google Place pages. I’ve heard many experts describe Local+ pages as more attractive and easier-to-use Facebook brand pages and I wouldn’t completely disagree. There are certainly similarities. Regardless of how you look at them, your Local+ page is your new Google business profile for your company, housing all important business information. The pages also make use of Google’s acquisition of Zagat from last year, replacing star ratings with more complete 30-point Zagat scores and recommendations to give users a better way to evaluate and select local businesses. You’re also able to see who in your Google+ Circles has been to the restaurant so that you can find reviews and ratings directly from them.
  • 6. Local Pages When a user looks up your business on Google, this page is what they will find. The pages are designed to give business owners a much more social way to interact with consumers, in a way that Place pages simply did not allow.
  • 7. Local Pages For the time being, you now have two Google+ pages that you’ll need to manage and worry about. However, the time when you’ll be able to merge your Google+ Business page with your Google Local+ page is coming. In fact, to give you a sense of what it will look like, you can view the listings for select companies below. These are folks Google has worked with to upgrade their listings early so that we could all see what it would look like: Pomegranate Café Museum of Music Making So while you may have two pages today, Google is working to give business owners the options to merge. Once this happens, you’ll have a one-stop Google portal for your business on the Web.

Reviews Google will be moving over the reviews on your Place page to your Local+ page, however, unless the user who left the review goes through Google’s verification process, all of your reviews will now show up as being from “A Google User”. Not the best true cue. However, if the user does go through the quick verification process (which Google will prompt them to do), than the reviews will be tied to their Google+ account. Going forward, in order for anyone to leave a review of your business, they must do so from their Google+ account.
  • 9. Local Pages Users will be able to discover the new Google+ Local pages in several ways: through a search on Google.com or Google Maps, in mobile apps or through a search on Google+. As a result, Google+ becomes another local search destination within Google, arguably with richer content and more functionality than Google.com offers at the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) level. Not unlike some similar functionality offered in Foursquare, users will be able to sort and filter search results by several criteria, including “your circles,” which will reveal places “touched” by friends. Currently this means reviews and posts, but could extend to check-ins later.
  • 10. Local Pages If you click the new “Local” tab in Google+ you’re taken to a personalized local home (discovery) page, which offers a mix of popular, social and recommended content. There are several variables that go into the content that appears on this page. The same two people in Seattle won’t see the same page, though aspects of it may be the same. What’s also interesting is that Google has returned to a two search-box approach for Google+ Local.
  • 11. Local Pages Local pages can be viewed as the search giant's newest business strategy to attract and get more people to join and actively participate in Google+. As Google+ is created to compete with social networking giants like Facebook and Twitter, the search giant doesn't want to lag behind the social networking race.
