Paresh Maity belongs to the Bengal school of Indian art. He graduated in Fine Arts from the Govt. College of Art &
Crafts, Kolkata and then went on to get his Masters in Fine Arts from the Delhi College of Art, where he topped his
class.
Paresh has had over forty-five solo exhibitions and has participated in several prestigious art workshops and group shows
across India and abroad. He has won many prestigious awards, which include awards from the Royal Watercolour
Society, London; Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata; Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata; Indo American Society,
Mumbai; Harmony Award, Mumbai and College of Art, New Delhi.

5. Jai Zharotia
Jai Zharotia was born in Delhi in 1945 and did his professional training in Fine Arts from the Delhi College of Art. He
worked in Bal Bhawan on children's educational projects, before becoming a lecturer at his alma mater.
Jai Zharotia has received several awards in his career, from the 1979 Sahitya Kala Parishad Awards and 1980 Silk Screen
Prints to the AIFACS award in 1987 for Ceramics and Drawing and the 1993 Lalit Kala Akademi National Award for
painting.
