3. Introduction
• Advent is a time of WATCHING, WAITING, and
WANTING.
“And I will wait for the LORD who is hiding His
face from the house of Jacob; I will even look
eagerly for Him.” – Isaiah 8:17, NASB

• Jesus is the ultimate Immanuel
– A child of promise
– given as a sign, pointing to Presence,
– born through a holy servant
– at the right time, to highlight God’s sovereignty
– and to bring God’s deliverance

slavery of death,
who would become their merciful,
faithful HIGH PRIEST.

dreams, devise plans, state proposals in
