This document provides two examples of calculating total resistance (Rt) when resistors are connected in series. The first example shows Rt as the sum of two resistors, R1 and R2, equaling 30 ohms. The second example shows Rt as the sum of three resistors, R1, R2 and R3, equaling 60 ohms, following the formula that resistance in series is the sum of all individual resistances.
