Finding Whoa Proposed talk for the Office 2.0 conference: Productivity Track Finding Whoa: What makes an amazing productivity application? A combination of theory and practice looking applications that achieve that state of near "nerdvana" by making a task or process or the like so simple you sit back had say "whoa". What are the key parts of "whoa"? What what works, and doesn't, in making an potential "whoa" app? Practical examples from my own workflow like: ClearContex for Outlook clearing out your inbox MindManager (several applications) Excel Autosum The goal of the talk is for it to help developers understand what they can to do make whoa apps, teach people a few tricks they might not know, and encourage discussion/sharing of those "whoa" moments. It is important to note that while I might use particular products as examples, this is not intended to be a product pitch. I want both developers and users to look for and develop "whoa" applications.
