• Students collaborate on collecting and evaluating
news feeds related to pre-defined topics.
• Students synthesize information and opinions on

• Have students use a photo sharing site to find
photos on a particular culture. Photos can be
added to MovieMaker to produce a short
ethnography about another culture. Some
themes are gender inequality, sexual orientation,
children at risk, and poverty.
• Award points for doing an interview of someone
in another country and adding it to their
presentation.

Summer Project
• Have each students who travel over the
summer take photos of their adventure. Have
them invite the people they meet on their
adventures to come to their VoiceThread
account and add comments about their
culture, which can be seen in the photos, and
their time interacting with your students.

• Have each student create a blog. The blog can
be used as a lab journal, or essay practice.
Once a week have them research and write
about a topic that might be on the AP Exam.
• Award points for using Google Blog Search to
find professionals in a field of study and
