Team building does not have to be a chore. Team building can be a fun
and informative way to learn about the people around you. When it
comes to children, you may have to make team building activities even
more fun and entertaining, in order to keep interest in what you are

team into 2 groups. Make sure that you put children with people they
may not know very well, this encourages new bonds. Once groups have
been divided let the children choose a leader, this person will delegate
and help the team either win, or lose.

GPS and adventure games are a great way to get children to become a
team. Team building will happen without the children even knowing.
These games also require team work, so insure the teams are fair and
evenly divided. You can buy or rent hand held GPS for each group to
have, each leader will hold the unit.

Children will also bond well when in the wilderness. Camping trips
require a lot of hard work from the leaders and the community, but pay
off big. Camping trips have long been a way of bonding not only adults



but children as well. The children can help plan the event, and pack the
needed supplies, making them feel as if they are all contributing.

Children can also do some team building indoors. Cup stacking and
crest making activities are a great way to bond a small group. These can
be done in a class room or in a gym. The cups needed are plastic and
can be found at any dollar store.

The main important factor about team building for children is to make
it fun. Children will bond and have a great time, even if you are looking
at it as team building. Ice breakers are great ways to start off the
activities, as all the children will get to know one another. Some ice
breakers will involve learning names, learning addresses and
remembering the other team member’s special interests. These quizzes
and activities were created in order to help children relax and feel
comfortable before the real tasks begin.

Children will have fun at anything if the environment is right. Team
building skills will be developed when they are put in a group or a
situation involving working with others. Fun team building activities for
