7. Agra fort

1080 AD when a Ghaznavide
force captured it.

seen like Divan-e-Aam, Divan-e-
Khas and Shish Mahal.
8. Fatehpur Sikri
It is at Fatehpur Sikri that the legends of
Akbar and his famed courtiers, the nine

13. Dhamek Stupa
Dhamek Stupa (also

massive stupa located at Sarnath, 13 km
away from Varanasi.
The Dhamek Stupa is said to mark the spot
of a deer park (Rishipattana) where the
Buddha gave the first sermon to his five
disciples after attaining
enlightenment, "revealing his Eightfold Path
leading to nirvana”.
In its current shape, the stupa is a solid
cylinder of bricks and stone reaching a
height of 43.6 meters and having a
diameter of 28 meters. It is the most

14. Gautam Budh's Statue at
Mulagandha Kuti
Mulagandha Kuti Vihar is the
modern temple erected by the
Mahabodhi Society. The temple was
made by Kosetsu Nosu, Japan’s
foremost painter and a rich
repository of Buddhist literature. The
ancient Mulagandha Kuti Temple is
among the brick ruins of Sarnath.

17. Famous Temples

The original idol was taken to Rajasthan to

18. Govinda dev temple: The temple is a testimony of the
architectural splendour of medieval India. Originally seven
stories high, it's upper four stories were destroyed during the
reign of Aurangzeb. The Krishna idol was then removed to
Jaipur .

21. Ayodhya
Hindus believe the birthplace of Rama to be in Ayodhya at the

demolished Babri Mosque.
Ayodhya is also the birthplace of five Tirthankars, including the
first Tirthankar of Jainism, Shri Rishabh Dev. He is known as
the father of Jain religion.
Ayodhya reached its glorious peak as known to history during
the reign of the Guptas over India.
Tulsidas is said to have begun the writing of his famous

CE.
The Atharva Veda called Ayodhya "a city built by gods and

22. Janmabhoomi - Rama Janma

to have taken birth. There is a small

Nageshwarnath Temple: The

AIR:
The airport at Lucknow is located at a distance
of around 14 kilometers from the city center at a
place called Amausi.
ROAD:
