This document summarizes a climb for change event up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for environmental education. A UK charity and Thai foundation will bring 6 people on the climb from July 28th to August 5th following the Rongai route. The goal is to raise awareness of how global climate change has caused 82% of the ice cap on Kilimanjaro to disappear since 1912 and may disappear entirely by 2020 as an example of climate change impacts. Funds raised will go to an environmental education portal.
