PHASE Preparation to meet the special requirements of the
London 2012 Olympic Games
1 Providing 62 blocks of residential units in order to house
17,000 athletes and officials close to the main Olympic
venues

Chobham Academy (N12)
• 1,832 places for pupils aged 3 – 18 years old
• Scheduled to open September 2013
• Specialising in the performing arts, with an inherent
focus on sports
• State of the art facilities for pupils and wider community
• Day care centre
Multi Storey Car Park (N25)
• 850 car parking spaces for Stratford International
Polyclinic and Community Facilities (N11)
• 5,600 sq m facility
• GPs, physiotherapy, imaging, dentistry and child care
Open Space and Parkland
• Provision of over 10 hectares of open space, public
parks, communal gardens and play areas

12. Progress - June 2010
• Construction work started on site in April 2008
• Number of operatives on site has reached 3,200 and is
expected to reach 4,500 by Autumn 2010 at construction
peak
• 5 of the 11 residential plots have reached full construction
height
• External cladding on these plots is well underway with the
first residential plot fully clad in April 2010
• Currently the site operates 24 tower cranes
• Production will be substantially complete by December 2011
