Excerpts from Interviews of youth who
   have worked on MechanzO Robots

Q: Give One line comment to your experience using MechanzO kit?
A: Best tool to explore science practically by doing. I simply love it.

Q: Any difference you have found while learning from Mechanzo?
A: Earlier I was scoring marks only but now I am gaining knowledge.

Q: Do you think learning through MechanzO you would be more likely to become
    an engineer or a scientist?
A: Yeah, I think I will, because it’s fun to do and I like doing it.

youths interviewed are less than 14 years old @ IITB

    Why Study Robotics?
          Today’s child is Tomorrow’s Engineer

• Robotics is an excellent way to introduce the students to integrated
STEM areas (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics)
• For: Practical learning, Team Work, Developing good IQ, Problem
Solving skill, Competitive Spirit & Exposure about global happenings
     in Education
• Everyone – girls and boys alike – should get a chance to see how
much fun it is learning engineering skills this way!
• The country is not going to have manufacturing units until and unless
they have an artificial force of labors that means Robots to work in
manufacturing industry.” – US planning commission.

            Problem Statement:
            The Game
PickUp Robot is a unique robot game where
robots need to pick cubes from their place to
other place. This is a timed game of 5 min.
Robots have the option of being Manual or
            Automated.
The game is divided into 2 levels:
            Level 1 : Elimination Round
            Level 2 : Finals
Note: The complete event will be conceptualized by ThinnkWare

What do they learn/How do they grow?
To asses the youth’s skill-level increase in robot design and building, programming
and computer technology, as a result of participating in the FLL program; at the end of
the season, youth were asked to compare their skill levels in each area before and
after the FLL season. Given a four point scale, with choices ranging from ‘poor’ to
‘excellent,’ youth skill-level gain is summarized as follows:
Increase by 1 Increase by 2 Increase by 3
                                                                           No change
