•The first mobile phone was launched in India during 1990s by NOKIA

somewhere it was signed that mobile service provider was launched in 1994.

• Based in Gurgaon, Haryana, Micromax has 23 domestic offices
across the country and international offices in Hong Kong, the United
States, Dubai and Nepal.
• Micromax emerged third largest mobile handset seller in India as on
March 31, 2011
10. BlackBerry
•Revenue: Rs 1,950 crore (Rs 19.5 billion)
•Growth of 61.2 per cent over the revenue of Rs 1,210 crore (Rs 12.1
billion) in 2009-2010.
•Designed by Canadian company Research In Motion, BlackBerry
phones function as a personal digital assistant and portable media
player.
•BlackBerry commands a 14.8 per cent share of worldwide
smartphone sales

• Revenue: Rs 1,834 crore (Rs 18.34 billion).
• LG registered a growth of 14.6 per cent over a revenue of Rs 1,600 (Rs 16 billion)
in 2009-2010.
• LG Corp. is the second largest South Korean conglomerate company headquartered
in the Seoul.
