• London is the capital of the United Kingdom and England. It is one of the most famous
cities of the world. It’s very popular with tourists.
Cardiff is the capital of Wales - the smallest part of Great Britain. Welsh language is very
different from English. Welsh people especially like poetry and music.
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. It is historic city.The Scots are practical people.
The Highlands is a part famous because it has beautiful countryside. The Highlanders live
in family groups called clans. They wear kilts and they play the bagpipes. There is a
beautifull lake called Loch Ness. In legend the monster Nessie lives there. Is that true?
Belfast is the capital of Northern Irleand or Ulster. It’s one of the youngest capitals in the
world. The Irish are very friendly and warm. They love legends and stories. They often
meet in pubs.

has a queen or a king. Queen is Elizabeth
II. She lives in the Buckingham Palace. She
doesn’t have any political power.
