- Bill introduces: Tradition reason why we get together… we do this every time new CO comes on board. Immediately go into “due to federal regulations, that’s why we’re here today to meet these requirements.” Main request from NMCPHC HPW leadership to us was to get the main message up front. Begin by stating something like…. Our relationship is important to meet the needs of the fleet and to increase fleet readiness. Why we do what we do = increase durability, sustainability = resiliency for the fleet…. Etc. NMCPHC – OPNAV link – arm example. Another important note to mention somewhere in the presentation is the fact that the CPPD HPW program would not be what it is without the comprehensive SME at NMCPHC. Many times, Diana serves as a “circuit board operator”…. Connecting the right people at NMCPHC to meet the specific needs of the fleet and marketing the comprehensive products and services developed by the NMCPHC program managers to the fleet. Example: Diana’s background is in broad health promotion, and specifically in exercise physiology, human performance, and musculoskeletal injury prevention/sports medicine, but if someone needs assistance with Combat Operational Stress Control, Diana can connect to NMCPHC’s Clinical psychologist (Dr. Mark Long), and he knows this COSC comprehensively. Presentation will include several examples of how this works.
