1. HOW TO MAKE A
“Pasca”
*“Pasca” is a pound cake filled with cottage cheese and
sour cream.
*It is a traditional Romanian desert, usually done for
Easter.

2. How do we do it?
*For making “pasca” we need to make a
a dough and a cheese filling.
*Here is how my grandma and I did ours for
this Easter

3. The dough -ingredients
*500 g flour
*150 g sugar
*300 g milk
*3 eggs
*25 g yeast
*100 g oil
*a teaspoon of salt
*vanilla, rum
*grated lemon peel

4. The dough -preparation
*Mix the eggs and
sugar together until the
sugar melts!
*Put the yeast in a
bowl of hot milk!

5. The dough - preparation
*Now add both of them in a big bowl with the
flour and lemon
and mix them to
obtain a dough!
*Knead the dough for
about 20 minutes!

6. The dough- preparation
*While kneading, add the
rum, vanilla , salt and oil!
*After kneading the dough,
just leave it there and wait
for it to grow!

….. It should turn out like this! 

8. The filling-ingredients
*500g cheese
* 300 g sugar
* 3 eggs
* 200 g raisin
* vanilla and rum

9. The filling-preparation
* Add the eggs, vanilla
and sugar in the bowl
where you have the
cheese!
* Mix them together
and finally add the
raisins!

10. Making Pasca!
* Prepare a round piece
of dough with a roller and
put it in the oven tray!
* Knit two long pieces
together and put them
around the dough in the
trey!
* …..…wait……..

11. Making pasca!
*After the dough grew
a little, fill it with the
cheese filling!
*We made a cross on
top because this is the
tradition in Romania,
but you feel free to
decorate it as you wish!
*Now put it in the oven!
(around 45 minutes)

12. AND OUR PASCA IS READY!
