Introduction Kathleen Barret CEO and President, IIBA In June of 2009, Kathleen Barret becamethe first full-time President and CEO of International Institute of Business Analysis after having held the role as a volunteer since the organization’s inception in October 2003. With over 25 years of experience in information technology, Kathleen has held many roles including most recently, managing offshore software development work for a large financial service organization. Her involvement in the field of business analysis began when she was asked to create a centre of competency for BAs for her company. She is experienced in CMMI and benchmarking, and through her many years of consulting, brings cross industry knowledge to her role at IIBA. © International Institute of Business Analysis 3
- 4. Introduction Alain Arseneault VP of Marketing and Communication, IIBA Alain Arseneault is a member of the IIBA Senior Leadership Team in the role of VP Marketing and Communication. He leads a team of dedicated resources responsible for all communications and marketing activities for the organization. Alain also serves on the Board of Directors, providing the organization with both business and strategic insight and act as Chair of the Nomination Committee. For over three years, Alain has been a dedicated volunteer for the organization. He previously held the position of Chief Strategist for two years. Alain has been working at the Bank of Montreal for 14 years in various positions including Project Manager and Senior Manager PMO. In his current role, Alain leads the 4 key I.T. Specialists Centres of Competency including Business Analysis, Project Management, and Quality Assurance and System Development providing governance and support to the entire organization. - 10. IIBA Board of Directors The IIBA Board of Directors is elected by and for the purpose of representing the members of IIBA. The Board sets policies, gives direction and delegates activities to the CEO. The CEO is hired by the Board and is accountable for the day-to-day running of IIBA. The CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) rely on the Board for their advice and business experience. On June 22, 2010, after the AGM, IIBA will be holding an election for open positions on the IIBA Board of Directors. © International Institute of Business Analysis 10
- 11. Nomination Process IIBA received a large number of applications for the five open board positions. After a thorough review of the applications, the Nominations Committee identified three basic categories: Candidates who are ineligible. IIBA Bylaws prevent anyone from being a Director of the Board unless they have been an IIBA member for at least six months. Exceptions were granted if the applicant had a unique skill set that would benefit the composition of the board. Candidates who are eligible but whose qualifications are met by an existing Director. These candidates were asked to withdraw their nomination. Candidates who are eligible and whose qualifications enable a well composed board of diverse and complementary skills. These candidates were interviewed by the Nominating Committee and the slate of candidates was selected from this group. © International Institute of Business Analysis 11

Nomination Process For the IIBABoard of Directors Election 2010, a Nominations Committee was mandated to recommend a minimum of five candidates to the Board for the five vacant director positions. These are the candidates that the board has recommended. - 13. Nomination Process During the final approval of the slate of candidates, the Board voted to increase the number of Board positions from nine to eleven, expanding the open positions to seven. ARTICLE 4 ‑ Board of Directors The affairs of the Institute shall be managed by a Board of Directors, consisting of a minimum of nine and a maximum of fifteen directors. © International Institute of Business Analysis 13
- 14. Michael Augello - Candidate Michael is a highly experienced consultant with well-defined skills in both business management and technology-based projects. He has performed successfully in a range of roles including architecture, enterprise analysis, business process analysis, data analysis and requirement definition in numerous government and private corporation engagements. In a career spanning 28 years, Michael has held significant roles in startup consulting organizations including CPT Consulting where he was Director leading to CPT Global’s successful public listing on the Australian Stock Exchange. Over the past 3 years Michael has devoted significant time to the IIBA Australia Chapter. In July 2008 he joined the IIBA® Australia Chapter Board as a Director where he has focused on the Events and Marketing domains. A highlight has been his ability to engage and unite the BA Community in Australia at all levels from junior BA through to senior BA Manager to raise awareness of the BA profession’s role in driving successful project outcomes. © International Institute of Business Analysis © International Institute of Business Analysis 14
- 15. ArieBenaich, B.A., LL.B. (J.D.), CHRP IIBA Board of Director Arie Benaich is an experienced Human Resources Professional with a comprehensive and strategic understanding of Human Resources Management including organizational change. Arie has had significant experience devising and implementing HR strategies while improving internal processes and procedures. He has been on the Board of Directors with the IIBA since September 2009 as Vice Chair and is presently on the HR and Compensation committee. Arie is a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner with BMO Financial group in their Technology and Operations division. He has been with BMO since 2004 developing and executing HR strategies for his technology clients. Arie’s performance contribution has been recognized by the enterprise by being nominated for the CEO recognition of Top Performers at Business Plan Rollout and also received an Award of Excellence. © International Institute of Business Analysis © International Institute of Business Analysis 15
- 16. Vincent Chiew -Candidate Vincent Chiew has 18+ years of diverse industry experience. He is a member of IIBA and a Business Analysis instructor at Mount Royal University’s Business Analysis Certificate Program. He has served on various professional associations such as engineering, project management, and information technology. Vincent has experience working on professional association projects such as body of knowledge, standards, certification, accreditation, professional development, enforcement, mentoring, governance, policy, budget, legislation, strategy, operation, by-laws, and regulation. (Kitty) Hass IIBA Board of Director Kathleen Hass is the president of KHass and Associates, Inc., a consulting practice specializing in strategic business practices, including business analysis, project management, and strategy execution through portfolio management. Ms. Hass is a prominent presenter at industry conferences, author and lecturer. Kitty serves on the IIBA Board of Directors and the IIBA Leadership Team as Head of Chapter Governance. Kitty has authored numerous white papers and articles on leading edge PM/BA practices, the renowned series entitled, Business Analysis Essential Library,a compilation of six titles on critical BA practices, the PMI 2009 Book of the Year, Managing Project Complexity - A New Model. Michael Hugos - Candidate Michael Hugos, principal at Center for Systems Innovation [c4si],mentors teams of business and technical people in practices of business agility and agile systems development. He also delivers seminars and management briefings. Michael previously spent six years as chief information officer (CIO) of an $8 billion distribution co-operative where he developed the suite of supply chain and e-business systems that transformed the company's operations and revenue model. He won the CIO 100 Award in 2003 and 2005, the InformationWeek 500 Award in 2005, and in 2006 he was selected for the Computerworld Premier 100 Award for career achievement. Michael writes a blog for CIO Magazine titled “Doing Business in Real Time” and he has authored seven books including his newest book Business in the Cloud: What Every Business Needs to Know about Cloud Computing, and the popular Essentials of Supply Chain Management. © International Institute of Business Analysis © International Institute of Business Analysis 18

Chuck Milliholan – Candidate Chuck Millhollan is the Director of Program Management for Churchill Downs Incorporated and has over 25 years experience in formal business analysis and portfolio management. Recent initiatives include - Successfully implemented a new ticketing system using a documented approach for requirements elicitation, prioritization, and management from RFP through implementation. Chuck’s certifications include: PMP, PgMP, CBAP, ASQ, CMQ/OE, CSQE, and MHP. In addition to his work as a business analysis and portfolio management practitioner, Chuck has developed curriculum and taught for several accredited universities. Brenda Kerton - Candidate Brenda Kerton is a former IT practitioner, business analyst leader, project manager andcompany director, and currently the owner and principal consultant of Capability Insights Consulting. She is a founding member of IIBA and as Chair of the Body of Knowledge Committee led the group to the first version of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®). She is the author of several articles on business analysis, management of change and leadership. - 21. Indy Mitra IIBA Board of Director Indy Mitra is a Senior Business Consultant with Bank of Montreal(BMO) in Toronto, Canada. She currently provides technology consulting support to the bank’s personal and commercial banking business. A founding member of IIBA, Indy has held leadership roles since the organization’s inception in October 2003 and has been a member of the Board since the first AGM in March 2004 and is the current Chairman of the Board. Since 2004, Indy has held a position on the IIBA Senior Leadership Team, heading up the Operational Compliance area for IIBA. During her tenure, Indy took on major roles such as facilitating the formation of IIBA as a not-for-profit corporation, representing members on the Board of Directors, and protecting the intellectual property of IIBA through registration of trade-marks and process development. © International Institute of Business Analysis © International Institute of Business Analysis 21
