Going Green Ain’t That Difficult
To begin with, you need to stop leaving your electronic goods on standby mode, be it
your television, your microwave or your music system. Do this for a month and you will note
the difference in your electricity bill.
If you are really concerned about global warming and do not wish to contribute to the
existing level of pollution in your city, start using public transport. An ideal way to stay fit is
that you cover short distances on foot or by bicycle.
The consumption of electricity tends to increase in extreme weather conditions. For
instance, when it is extremely cold, you will be tempted to use the room heater on a regular
basis. Instead of surrendering to the temptation, you can try to keep yourself warm through
the extensive use of woolen clothing and other alternatives.
Make lightweight packaging one of your criteria while buying new products as it
is environment-friendly.

filament bulb. If you haven’t already started using them, you are losing out on something
worthwhile.
Jute is biodegradable, plastic isn’t. So, it is advisable to buy a jute bag and use it
extensively so that even if it wears out and you have to throw it in the dustbin, you won’t feel
guilty that you have further harmed the environment by adding another pollutant to it.
Lastly, you should use a microwave rather than an electric or a normal stove for
