The document discusses how humans and animals require and share the same resources to live, focusing on air, water, food, and shelter. It provides examples of how humans use plants for various purposes, from furniture and paper to perfume ingredients. Students visited a rattan village to learn more. They also explored how plants are used around their school and discussed the importance of sharing resources and protecting plants so they are available for all living things.

13. How have plants been used
around our school?
The students were sent in pairs to take a photo of a way we use plants at our school. These
were then printed and pasted into their UoI books where they wrote a sentence to
accompany the picture. They then typed these statements onto this presentation.

animals and people
depend on this cactus.
We need the
fruit to eat, and

nest in the
branches to keep
my babies safe
We need to collect
the seeds to eat and
use the dead cactus
to have shelter and
protection
18. We found out so much we
created posters about the uses of
some plants.
Take a look at them here
19. Can we do anything to help keep plants
around for all living things to use?
* I will use both sides of the
paper- Yi Ming
* I will plant seeds- Omar
and Hung
* I will remember to water plants-
Anh Phuc
• I will say to the people who
cut trees down to stop or we
and animals will die. We
should use what is already

trees, only the ones I really need to. Kiran
* I will think about the animals that
need it too before taking it. Savannah
