1. 11/09/11 William B. Travis High School November 9, 2011

2. Due to the faculty meeting on Tuesday, November 8th, the African Students Association has been moved to Wednesday, November 9 th , immediately after school. Dues of $25 which includes your t-shirt are due Nov 9 th . You can begin paying at any time. If you’d like a hoodie instead of a t-shirt, dues are $30. For more information see Ms. Hutton in E100.

3. Girls Soccer Tryout Information Meeting When: Wed. Nov. 9 2:30 pm Where: L234 Coach Fox’s room Tryouts begin Monday Nov. 28 th . All current paperwork must be on file and you MUST attend all 3 days.

4. If you plan on attending any basketball game on campus this year, you will no longer be able to enter the gym through the commons. From this point forward you will need to enter the gym through the doors at the rear of the building, near the small gym. Parking will only be allowed in the student parking lot. Once you have parked your vehicle in the student parking lot, there will be signs to guide you to the appropriate entrance. Please share this information with your parents and if you have any questions please see Officer Hall prior to game day. Thanks in advance for your time in this matter.

5. Students interested in joining the Winterguard can pick up a packet in room I111 with information about upcoming auditions .

6. Please help me congratulate the Accounting UIL team that went to contest this weekend and won 1 st place team and individual 3 rd and 4 th places. The hard work they put in before the tournament paid off.

10. Thank You Thursday! Say “Thank You” to someone you appreciate or has helped you lately. Every Thursday in November, the THS Library will have thank you cards in a basket for students and teachers to pick up and give out for special thank yous!

13. Tryouts for the 2012-2013 Travis Belles Dance Team are just around the corner! There will be a Mandatory Tryout Meeting held at 6pm *next* Monday, 11/14 in the Dance Room. The Mandatory Tryout Clinic will be held from 3:30-5:30pm on Tuesday, 11/29 - Thursday, 12/1 where candidates learn the tryout dance. Formal Belles Tryouts will be held beginning at 3pm on Friday, 12/2 . All candidates are required to attend all events . Students do not need to be enrolled in dance to audition. Interested students can contact Mrs. Haines in the dance room for more information.
