Here Mike Dawson of Tristar Driving School http://www.tristardriving.co.uk provides a presentation about how driving instructors can keep their diaries full and decrease the chances of double booking
2. The “Personal Appointment” Technique (can I slot
you in for the next 6 Tuesdays (e.g.) then I won’t
double book
Helps the bonding process
Gets your pupil working as a team member
Your Diary looks good too, when you flick-through with
another pupil.
3. Shuffling the pack
By changing pupils appointments, you can concentrate lessons in a
particular area on any particular day
4. Getting yourself noticed
Outside Schools – Leave your sign on even if you’re just collecting your
own children.
Supermarket car parks - If you’re doing a family shop, nipping in for a
coffee or simply visiting the little boys’ room.
5. Taking Care of Business
Who’s dad ‘teaching’?
Have a look around local housing estates – check out the cars
parked on driveways with L plates.
Pop you business Card through the door with a message, “If you
ever need me for advice or backup……”
Social networking – boost each other with endorsements
Use pupil feedback effectively (Facebook???)
6. They NEVER Remove their SIGNS, even when they are CLOSED – Holidays included –
perhaps it’s why they’re so SUCCESSFUL?
