“Although many PMs define themselves by their technical knowledge and
skill, there is an increasing awareness that successfully completing projects
on time, within budget, and with delighted customers is more about the
successful orchestration and facilitation of others than it is about technical
expertise. Enlightened companies are aggressively seeking to recruit, train,
and retain PMs with this more comprehensive understanding of how to
manage projects.”

WHY YOU CANNOT MISS THIS EVENT
According to Standish Group report, the top reasons for project failure are:
• Inadequately trained and / or inexperienced Project Managers
• Failure to set and manage expectations
• Poor leadership at any and all levels
This translates to - Project managers do not excel by just being well
versed in earned value analysis, work breakdown structures, critical path
scheduling or report writing. Projects have become too complex and
lifecycles too short to be handled by the project manager alone. Teams
are formed to share the load to ensure quality project delivery. This
creates unique leadership challenges. It is only by exercising leadership
can a project manager expect to be optimally successful. Projects often
fail based on the people and political aspects that influence its success.
This master class course focuses on the leadership skills that are required
to establish the right organizational structure for projects and programs;
to identify, engage and work with key stakeholders that can influence
the project; how to build rapport with people; how to effectively lead
the project team; and the techniques and methods to understand where
the project is, what influences can impact it, and how to keep it focused
toward successful delivery.
This is a hands-on course delivered by an internationally recognized
expert in project management and practicing project manager who
specializes in the challenged and critical projects. In this course you will
learn about your own communication style, behavioral style and how
your thinking is influencing the project to better deal with the technical
and people challenges of running projects.
