1. EvensonBest
Melville, New York – 7,000 Sq. Ft.
Furniture dealer EvensonBest turned to TPG to design a new
7,000 square foot showroom located in Long Island, NY. The
client required functioning workstations that also serve as
samples on the showroom floor. Sustainable materials and a
lime colored accent wall further enhance the brand and the
merchandise. The new showroom will accommodating the New
York and regional market.
2. Lufthansa
East Meadow, New York - 80,000 Sq. Ft.
TPG is currently completing a phased renovation of an existing
5-story building for Lufthansa’s North American Headquarters.
In addition to office space, the project includes the main
building lobby, floor lobbies, a café, pantries and public spaces.
An emphasis was put on environmentally-friendly design
and materials. This involved opening up the floor lobbies to
the perimeter windows. In addition, enclosed offices were
minimized and utilized glass fronts.
3. Aer Lingus
Jericho, New York – 12,000 Sq. Ft.
TPG recently completed the design for the new US HQ of this international
airline. The interior concept combines a traditional reception with a
modern twist and today’s technology. Quarter cut oak and stone-like
flooring contrasts with white gloss columns and aluminum framed glass
walls. Aeronautical elements were used throughout the space such as oval
shaped columns and a wing like soffit.
The overall plan is open and flexible, with a support zone pushed to the
interior. A 120 degree workstation system was chosen which conserves
space as well as creates an open call center environment. All finished are
eco-friendly ranging from the recycled glass transaction top and resilient
floor to the highly reflective ceiling tile and indirect lighting system.
4. Leviton
Melville, New York – 140,000 Sq. Ft.
TPG Architecture is currently working with Leviton on a
new headquarters comprised of 4 floors and a lower public
level, located in Melville, Long Island. The space includes a
café, a training center and exhibit areas. Each floor features a
different floor plate, with a dedicated executive floor on the
top level. Sustainable elements such as low emitting materials,
water saving devices, lighting controls and daylighting are being
implemented in order to attain Leviton’s goal of achieving LEED
CI Silver Certification.
TPG is also incorporating branding throughout the building.
5. Catlin
New York, New York – 8,000 Sq. Ft.
TPG Architecture provided interior architectural services for
this international insurance firm’s New York location. Catlin
wanted a design that would not only communicate the brand,
but also reflect the energy of its locale. The 8,000 square foot
office showcases a sleek open floor plan with three sides of glass
front offices and one corner conference room. Cherrywood
cabinetry and millwork create a sophisticated and clean work
environment. The ample reception area houses a full-sized
serving bar with informal seating solutions that are suitable for
entertaining onsite.
6. Cara Therapeutics
Shelton, CT – 53,000 Sq. Ft.
TPG Architecture recently completed an office and lab relocation
for Cara Therapeutics, an emerging biotech company specializing
in acute pain. The 53,000 SF space includes offices, a chemistry
lab, a biology lab, a vivarium for animal lab testing, and a NMR
spectroscopy room.
7. Weight Watchers
Woodbury, NY - 34,000 Sq. Ft.
A color scheme was used to identify areas of this large footprint to
give a sense of location in each department. Private offices (blue)
were pushed to the interior and the open workstations were split
to the exterior window in order to take advantage of natural light
and views. The private offices incorporated a wood door and full
glass front with a partial frosted film to address privacy and still
allow light to penetrate from the exterior.
A central core houses support spaces such copy areas and filing.
Public areas (yellow) are off the main core for easy access. These
areas are also treated with color to complement the neutral base
color palette that is used throughout.

8. New York Institute of Technology
New York, NY - 12,500 Sq.Ft.
TPG performed comprehensive architectural and interior design
services for the renovation of NYIT’s urban campus administra-
tive departments, including the registrar, bursar, financial aid
and admissions offices at 16 West 61st Street. The new space
features a main reception desk for multiple admissions. The
intent of this area was to replace the old “walk-up window”
setting with a more open and communicative environment.
High café-type tables provide a waiting area for students where
they can use laptops and meet with other students. Exposed
ceilings allow for free form objects to be incorporated, giving
a more playful and less restricted feel. The color scheme uni-
fies with other spaces on campus which are located in separate
buildings.
9. L’Oreal USA
New York, New York – Boardroom
This project consisted of the renovation of an existing corporate
boardroom. The concept was to incorporate a light and modern,
yet classic feel with the use of wood simple tonal wallcovering
and a textured wall panel. The ceiling is a simple architectural
feature with recessed lighting to for optimum performance of
the video conferencing technology.

10. North Shore Professional Center
Port Jefferson, NY - 100,000 RSF
TPG was engaged for Phase 1 Programming and Design Services
by North Shore Professional Realty for the area’s largest medical
park. The project consists of the renovation of an existing
building and construction of two new structures. The site was
designed as a campus of buildings to compliment the adjacent
hospital. The three buildings are brick, metal and EFIS panel
construction and total approximately 100,000 RSF of medical
office space. The flexible floor plans allow suite sizes from 1,000
RSF to full floors.
11. Blackman Plumbing
Hicksville, New York – 6,000 Sq.Ft.
A new showroom for a growing company set in suburban
Long Island was created to satisfy a market of residential
comsumers rather than the plumbing trade. This showroom
was to establish a brand identity for Blackman, using metal,
glass and metal panel along with a entry canopy and iconic
signage.

12. Blackman Plumbing
Medford, New York – 1,800 Sq.Ft.
The objective of this project was to create a new showroom
for a very high end, growing company set in suburban Long
Island, to satisfy a market of residential consumers rather than
the plumbing trade. Another goal was to establish a brand
identity for use at other locations.
The deisgn layout creates a clear circulation path with vignettes
of product on one side and a free flowing display on the other.
The sales area is placed centrally under a disc of blue light.

13. Honeywell
Mellville, New York – 120,000 Sq.Ft.
TPG is currently providing programming and master planning
for approximately 120,000 sf of space for Honeywell, projecting
personnel and space requirements through 2010. This plan will
establish a space use strategy and a long-term and short-term
real estate implementation plan encompassing several locations
into one central Corporate Facilities Headquarters, in Long Island.
Scheduled completion date: January 2007.
In addition, TPG has been retained for a second Honeywell
location in Fort Washington, PA. The new space will consist of
approximately 120,000 sf of general office space, engineering labs,
product repair, shipping and receiving and miscellaneous support
functions. Scheduled completion date: December 2006.

14. L.A. Fitness
Lake Grove, NY – 65,000 Sq. Ft.
TPG recently completed a sports and fitness complex consisting
of a five lane lap pool, a basketball court, five racquetball
courts, aerobics, spin, weights, cardio and circuit training areas,
and a small retail / juice bar. In addition to an exterior façade
alternation to the existing steel building, TPG verified existing
schematic plans and developed them into a set of construction
documents. TPG worked with an LA Fitness designer on interior
specifications.
15. L.A. Fitness
Norwalk, CT – 65,000 Sq. Ft.
TPG completed a new 65,000 square foot sports and fitness
complex in Norwalk, CT for LA Fitness. The project involved a
40,000 square foot addition to an existing industrial building. The
complex includes a lap pool, a basketball court, and racquetball
courts, as well as aerobics, spin, weights, cardio and circuit
training areas.
16. UL - Underwriters Laboratories
Melville, New York – 100,000 Sq .Ft.
A new entry was created using the interior 2-story space. New
exterior signage and façade treatment were generated using
and enhancing existing brick and metal materials. A metal roof
screen was proposed to hide the new HVAC units as the part of
the building upgrades. In addition a 100,000 laboratory upgrade
was included in the project.
