EDITING YOUR
PHOTO
ROTATING To rotate your photo, go to the menu bar and select Image Rotate Canvas, and then choose
the angle that you want to rotate it. If you want to rotate it at some angle other than 180 or 90
degrees, select the arbitrary option.
CROPPING Cropping your photo is really simple; all you need to do is select the crop tool from the tool bar
on the left side of your screen. It looks like this.
Use this tool to select the portion of your image that you wish to keep. Click and drag until you
have a highlighted area. You can move this box around or make it larger or smaller by using the
arrow cursor that appears when hovering in the corners. The highlighted area is the part of the
photo you will be keeping, anything grayed will be removed. (See below)

Once you have selected the part of the photo that you wish to keep, click the crop button in the
toolbar again, a box will appear.
Click Crop and the grayed area will be removed. Cancel allows you to adjust the selected
portion, and Don't Crop will return your workspace to how it was before you open the Crop
tool. If you crop and change your mind go to EditUndo Crop, or press Ctrl + Z on the
keyboard.
RE-SIZING To resize your photo, select ImageImage Size. This box will appear.
Make sure Constrain Proportions is checked, unless you want to skew your image. By changing
the number in the Width box below Pixel Dimensions, it will automatically reformat the Height
and keep the portions of your photo correct. You can also change the size of the document by
changing the number in the Width box below Document Size. By resizing your photo this way it
will not look distorted.
REMOVING RED EYE
Select the Red Eye Removal tool. It is the seventh tool from the top and can be found by
right clicking the Spot Healing Brush tool.
Click in the red eye, and if the results are incorrect, undo, and try again or change the options. It
may be helpful to zoom in so you can be more precise when selecting the eye.
Pupil Size increases or decreases the area that will be affected.
Darken Amount sets the darkness of the correction.

You can also adjust it manually by going to ImageAdjustmentsBrightness/Contrast
As long as the preview box is checked you can see how you are affecting the photo without
guessing!
REMOVING You can use the Clone Stamp tool to remove blemishes or other unwanted details from your
BLEMISHES photo. Select the Clone Stamp tool from the toolbar.
Lets say we want to remove the eye of this goldfish.
First, move the cursor over part of fish that you want to copy, hold the alt key, and click. This
selects the color/pattern you are cloning. Now you can click the portion of the image you are
trying to hide, in this case the eye.
Note: This works best when you are trying to remove a small portion, otherwise you may need
to change clone selections so that the colors will still blend correctly and it won’t look out of
place.
ADJUSTING COLOR If you want to get a little creative with your photos, you might want to try adjusting the color
levels. Lets adjust the goldfish.
Go to ImageAdjustmentsColor Balance.

the As a Copy box. This will keep the original and save the modified version as pic1 copy. From
this point you can also change the Format of the picture, from JPEG to GIF or PDF. When you’ve
