It isn't always easy to lose weight. You may realize that it isn't as simple as it was when you were
young. Healthy lifestyle choices can help you not only lose those pounds but also keep them off for

Instead of lying down or sitting while on the phone, turn this time into a mini workout. Rather than
sitting down as you talk, stand up and walk around while you are on your phone. This does not have
to be an intense workout. Simply walk around where you are or do some cleaning and you will lose
the weight.
Limit your caffeine consumption. Studies have shown that caffeine can actually slow the rat at which
you burn fat.
Find a fitness buddy to help you stay motivated. Look for a friend who shares your weight loss and
exercise goals. By supporting one another, you can create a positive vibe, which will help when you
are running low on adrenaline.
Do cardiovascular exercises to lose weight efficiently. Cardio includes any activities, such as running
and swimming, that increase the heart rate. Your body burns fat most effectively during periods in
which your heart rate is elevated. Make it a point to engage in half an hour of cardio at least 3 times
per week.
Rather than establishing weight loss goals, establish health goals. It might surprise you, but a focus
on healthy food can be a very positive thing. Whenever you focus solely on a number on the scale, it
is easy to become discouraged and slide right back to your old eating habits. Many people fail when
on diets since they give up everything they love all at one time. Step by step changes are far more
effective.
Pay attention to what you drink when you are trying to lose weight. With the exception of water,
most drinks contain calories. If you drink Kool-Aid, alcohol or soda, you may be taking in more
calories than you plan to. Keep track of these calories and include them in your daily allotted count.

little, but it can help you to burn calories that would not have otherwise been burned if you had
opted to take the elevator.
Find other things that you enjoy instead of just food. A lot of people like to cook, and eat what they
make. That is perfectly acceptable. Food can be enjoyable. Just be sure you also have other passions
and hobbies. Take up a hobby that involves getting you physically active.
Never eat right before going to bed. If you usually hit the sheets at 11, never eat anything after 9. If
you must eat something, snack on crisp vegetables and drink some water. There will be times when
it becomes hard to stick to that 2 hour rule, but it is important to try to do it as much as possible.
Any calories ingested close to bedtime are unlikely to be worked off. They will be stored in the body
as fat instead.
It's a lot easier to keep a particular weight level than reaching a one lower than you are already at.
Once you have lost the weight, stick to your healthy habits, like working out and eating better. These
