The speaker feels connected to nature through breathing in the air from the hills and mountains. They describe feeling the light and strength flowing through their veins from nature. As a man with an uncaged soul, the speaker feels they have transcended nature's limits and can run faster than deer, fly better than birds, and move instantly from place to place through thought alone.
2. I breath the air from the hills. It courses through my veins.
3. It comes to me from the mountains tops beyond the hills, where the eye within me is fixed.
4. It is Light. I feel it ever coming. I take it into me. I feel the strength of the Light that I am taking into me.
5. I smell the sweet odor and I drink in the sunshine. I open my lungs to the forest. I draw strength from a super-power which is Light.
6. I am that Power. It is all of me. I am all of it.
7. With my feet firmly planted to earth I tear trees from their roots and dash them aside. My strength transcends that of the tree. It is mightier than that of the forest.
8. The strength of all of the forests and all of the hills is in me. The earth lends me its power. The winds lend me their power. The winds of the earth are my breath. I breathe and forests rise and fall.
9. With the deer I run and leap, but they are motionless when I run with them. With the bird I fly and more effectually.
10. Sitting by the path side I need but to think of there and I am there, or some other where. And in another breath I am back again.
