   a Private Limited Company

Process
•   File Form e-1A of General Rules and Forms.
•   Fee – Rs. 500.
•   Suggest at least 4 names.
•   Name of a private company must end with
    ‘Private Limited’ or ‘Pvt. Ltd.’
Important Points (contd…)
• The name must be in consonance with the
  principal objects of the company.
• No mention of the name of a registered
  trademark, unless authorized.
• Should not be offensive to anyone.
• Should be distinct.
• Should not sound similar to the name of any
  existing company.
Important Points (contd…)
• No mention of the word “co-operative”.
• Should not begin with “National”, “British
  India” or the name of any State.
• Should not indicate association with any well-
  known person.
Important Points
• Abbreviations can be used in case of change of
  name of existing companies but not in new
  companies.
• In cases of a banking company, the advice of
  RBI should be taken.

Other Requirements
• File a “No Objection Letter”.
• It is to be filed on behalf of all promoters.
• It will declare that the promoters have no
  issues with the names suggested.
• The Registrar is expected to dispose of the
  application in 14 days.
