An organized type of writing that
focuses on a single topic, general idea
or thesis.
Thesis develops from all the main
ideas or in the suporting paragraphs.
Paragraphs that develop the thesis are
the ody of the essay.
Begin with an inroduction
Ends with a concluding paragraph

Thesis statement

• Leaves the reader with a positve impresión, a
sense of completeness, and the inclination to
think about the topic
• Is short and single

essay

• Choose two things that could go in the same

• Places them together for closer examination

• A type of analysis in which you classify
information and organize it into appropriate

• Involves careful analysis, planing and organization
• Persnal, social, psychological, economic, political
or other type of problem

• You´ll need to gather evidence and present

effectively

• You´ll need to define a word that has a
cmplete meaning
• That is disputable

Division and clasification essay
Division:
• Choose a topic that the average person might
not know much about
• Breack your topic down into meaningfull and
important categories

• Categorize things and allow you to argue the
place things have been put
