ID Theory

•   Instructional Design Theory is the study of
    how to best design instruction so that
    learning will take place

•   Examples: ADDIE model, Gagne's events of
    instruction, Bloom’s taxonomy

Solutions
•   Looking outside of the LMS (learning management system) and
    aiding in the development of personal learning networks which
    promote full participation. MOOC Event (massive open online
    courses)

•   Using RRS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds to aggregate
    course information such as blog entries, headlines, scholarly
    journals, audio, & video

•   Incorporate social media to assist with connections | example
    collaborative tools, readers, twitter & hash tags use

•   Demonstrating digital literacy & building authentic networks
