1. Evaluating the ideas
Suitable for audience?
The themes is suitable for the target audience as you can see you have done a lot of
research and then go onto a survey to see what they liked and didn't like. The worldwide
theme will again be suitable for the target audience as women from the ages 26 and over
love to try and are more interested in cooking food as they are more mature and women with
families would like to experiment with different cultural food.
Suitable for client?
This theme is suitable for the client as it’s appropriate for the target audience and the brief
that is given. Also, you have mentioned that your food will be vegetarian as this is what has
been asked and also keeping the recipes healthy.
Appeal of the design
The design is well thought out as you have again linked it to the target audience. as your
cards are aimed at adults the cards will be more sophisticated and elegant as a more mature
audience will be using these recipe cards.
Length of time to produce
By sticking to the plan, the recipe cards will be able to be produced on time as it will need
time and care to make them look professional and high quality.
Costs of any specialistproductionmethods
Writing materials, paper and Photoshop (to edit the images).
Practical to produce in large print runs?
I think this project is practical in large print runs as everyday people are more interested in
cooking different cultural food. The cost of materials will be too expensive and will work well
in large print runs.
Available resources
The type of paper that you will be printing it on may not be high quality maybe you should
consider an appropriate paper to print on to make the cards more high standard quality.
Quality issues
The prints may turn out wrong, or not up to the standard that you want them to be, so you
would have to do a few test prints before all of the cards get printed, as then it’ll assure you
that your work is correct.
Legal and ethical issues
In order to check if any of the work/idea has breached any ethical or legal issues, you would
have to double check the Copyright and Health and Safety (1974) Act. Also, you would have
to review whether your work is suitable for the target audience or not.
