S7-MediaPad upgrade user guide
1 SD card upgrade process
1.1 SD card upgrade packages
The upgrade package is a dload folder, contain files as follows.
|--dload (directory)
|-- update.zip(SD card upgrade package)
|-- unlmt.cfg(For automatic upgrade, if does not exist create a empty file named
“unlmt.cfg”)
|-- preset (optional preset data )
-- cust.zip
1.2 Upgrade process
1.2.1 Manual upgrade
1) Copy dload folder to SD card root directory.
2) Make sure tablet is in the status of power down.
3) Insert SD card to tablet.
4) Hold on pressing the volume+ key, then pressing the Power key for 2 seconds to boot
MediaPad.

Then tablet starts and enters into SD card upgrade process.
5) If screen exists, in normal upgrade process, the screen will display as follow:
6) In normal upgrade process, if upgrade succeeds, the screen will display as follow:

7) With screen,if upgrade fails, the screen will display as follow:
8)After upgrade is over ,remove SD card or press POWER key until tablet restart.
1.2.2 Automatic upgrade
1) Copy dload folder(with “unlmt.cfg”) to SD card root directory.
2) Make sure tablet is in the status of power down.
3) Insert SD card to tablet.
4) Reboot tablet.
5) Other upgrade process is the same as manual upgrade
1.3 Attention:
a) Before upgrade is over, do not remove SD card or the battery, or press the POWER key.
b) During upgrade process if power is down, please use SD card upgrade for the second
time.
c) SD card formatted by Android can not be upgraded automatically, only can be upgraded
manually.
d) After copying upgrade packages into SD card, you should take steps to check if the
upgrade packages are not damaged as follows:
1、copy upgrade packages . 2、unmount SD card. 3、mount SD card. 4、Click the zip files
which are in upgrade packages to make sure they could be opened without error on PC
side。
