6. Sunny, seductive Sydney is a high contender for the title of the world's
most ideal city. A city of breathtaking beauty this sprawling metropolis
offers everything to everyone. The city also occupies a quite breathtaking
natural aspect, from the blue waters of the harbour to the mountain range
of the Great Dividing Range that rises away to the West. The Sydney
Opera House and the Harbour Bridge make the harbour one of the most
impressive city vistas anywhere, easily comparable to San Francisco or
the Manhattan skyline for sheer wow-factor.
7. CLIMATE
The summer season (November to March) is the most popular time to
visit Sydney with temperatures regularly hitting the mid-30s. November
and March are favoured by visitors wanting sunshine without the searing
heat. Winter days can also be warm, regularly in the 20s, but can also be
damp and chilly. Winter nights are likely to be cold.
