· Checking the received Project Material and the related documents (MRV, Material Test 
Certificates etc) against the requirements of applicable Purchase Order and the Project

traceability. 
· Ensure Dimensional to ensure the Materials spec, heat numbers, mechanical properties 
to drawing and material test certificate. 
· Patrol Check on the proper storage, backing, handling etc. of the welding electrodes & 
· Control of welding material (Electrode, Filler Wire) backing of Low Hydrogen Electrode. 
· Preparation of weld map & responsible for the preparing of the Reports. 
· Ensure edge preparations are carried out and the bevel is clean and the bevel angle is 
checked prior to fit-up 
· Witnessing / checking the fit-up and preparation for welding 
· Weld visual, Dimensional Control. 
· Pre-heating if any 
· Checking of the inter pass temperature & recording the parameters as per WPS 
· Welding inspection (surveillance checks before, during and after welding ) 
· Responsible for the inspection of Pre-and Post-welding. 
· Checking of workmanship of Piping fabrication and erection. 
· Monitor welder performance and welding activities to ensure work is being carried out 
in accordance with the approved welding procedure.

· Checking WFT by Banana gauge etc. 
· Holiday testing of all coating, safe working practices, working to client procedures & 
specifications. 
· Inspection works before, during and after painting. 
· Major paint programs in ballast tanks, diesel tanks etc. 
· Painting duties include writing up specifications, reporting, QC Plane, ITPs & 
coordination with yard personnel & signing off completed areas 
· Raw material (FBE Powder, Adhesives & Polymers) receiving Inspection 
· Monitoring of Atmospheric condition 
· Inspection of abrasives used for blasting of steel surface. 
· Monitoring Inspection of Blasting Quality such as Surface Cleanliness & Surface Profile

tank coating, the regular maintenance and repair of such equipment as spray units, 
Blast pots and conventional spray, together with diesel compressors

Refinery Equipment & Fittings 
· Inspection of all processing Unit. CDU/VDU, DCU, HCU, H2U, CCU, SRB, MSP. 
· Provide daily inspection support to assigned area of the plant. 
· Conduct Inspection of new and in-service equipment & Piping. 
· Assist in the management and maintenance of the owner-user and reliable 
programs as well as maintenance of the pressure equipment database. 
· Provide engineering support, guidance, direction, and leadership for reliability issue 
involving fixed equipment (Piping, Pressure vessels, Exchangers, Heaters, and 
Tanks etc.) 
· Provide engineering support to the Management of Change system and Shutdown 
Prioritization Implementation Team. Assist in the planning and execution of 
turnaround scope. 
· Good knowledge about safety prior to the inspection / next inspection stage.
