Volunteer to help local families in Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake Counties receive tax refunds they deserve, which can exceed several thousand dollars and provide families with their largest payment of the year, by signing up for one of over 20 free tax preparation sites that provide opportunities as tax preparers, greeters, interpreters, or community resource coaches with training provided and bilingual volunteers encouraged.

Volunteer for our community’s largest coalition of free tax preparation sites
and help hardworking families get the refunds they deserve—which often exceeds
several thousand dollars. For many families, this is the largest one-time check they
receive all year.
Volunteer opportunities are available at more than 20 locations throughout
Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties:
• Tax preparers – receive free IRS training and certification (Requires a three-day
training course. Training dates are November from 9am - 4pm.)
• Greeters – welcome taxpayers to the site
• Interpreters – interpret between the taxpayer and the tax preparer
• Community Resource Coaches – connect individuals and families to community
resources that can make all the difference
No experience necessary. - training will be provided.
Bilingual speakers encouraged to volunteer.
